10 Minute Craft Dash #26

image Hey there – here to tell you all about the brand new 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge. It is another colour combo challenge and must admit – this time I did struggle!! I opted for a Christmas card in the end but it didn’t turn out quite how I wanted it – I guess it’d be good as a masculine kind of Christmas card!!

CD_26_Caryn CFS Blog Button This challenge is being sponsored by Casual Friday Stamps too so make sure you play along for a chance to win!

If you saw the last 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge (#25) you will know that the Clearly Besotted DT (or some of us anyway) had a weekend get-together at Steph‘s (Clearly Besotted owner and sweet friend) house and decided to do a “group dash” together.  You can read about that post and watch the video here!  We also attempted a second challenge while we were all together and you can watch it now – aww, it was such a fun weekend – wish we could all get together and craft every weekend!!  LOVE YOU ALL!!!

As you can see, it went down to the wire and poor Debby (Lime Doodle) was not happy with her card in the end – I personally still think it’s a triumph!!  All the girls’ cards were for that matter!!

Well, I hope you get a chance to join in the fun again this time round.  Be sure to check out Paulina’s blog, Pretty Pink Posh for all the challenge details and the rest of the Design Teams fabulous creations!

Congratulations!

Hey!  Here with a card made with the Mini Love Hearts stamp set from this month’s release from Clearly Besotted.  This set co-ordinates with the original Love Hearts set and also has dies available separately.  It’s great having the two size options now and my favourite of all the shapes and patterns is the primitive polka dot heart – swoon!

congratulations

I used this fabby sentiment from Many Messages (amazing sentiment set – so many cool fonts!) and some patterned paper from the Dots and Stripes pack by Echo Park.

This has been a long week for me – school meetings, busy workload, play dates….  so looking forward to the weekend – just one more day – yay!!!

Clearly Besotted Challenge #4 – Background Stamping

Challenge

Hey folks – here to tell you about this month’s Clearly Besotted Challenge #4 – Stamp Your Own Background.  Steph and the rest of the DT have done some amazing examples as always so make sure you head over to Stamping and Sharing and check them all out.

For my card I wanted to get the new Halloween sets out – been waiting for these ever since Steph first told me that she was launching her own stamp line over a year ago!  I knew her Halloween sets would be special and I wasn’t wrong!  They sold out in the first 24 hours (no fear, restocks on the way)!!!

I picked out the sentiments from both the sets, Boo To You and Fright Night and stamped them in a collage style using True Black, Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest (PTI) and Neon Purple (Hero Arts).  The tree and crow (Fright Night) have been smothered in Glossy Accents – LOVING the effect on that image!!

Challenge #4 Bckground I hope you get a chance to join in and play along with this month’s challenge.

Hugs,
