Avery Elle – Signature Dies

Hi there!  Sharing some simple cards I made using the fabulous new Summer release from Avery Elle.  I’ve used the Signature dies to emboss a “frame” onto the front of the card panel and (one of my favourite stamps from this collection) the diamond from Many Thanks to create cards for those “milestone” anniversaries (emerald, sapphire and ruby).  The sentiment is from  So Happy.

Signature dies 1 If you haven’t used your dies to emboss before then it’s very simple to do.  You will need to get yourself a rubber or silicone mat and then play with the levels of your die-cutting machine to see what combination works best (I have a Bigshot so I use the multi-purpose platform (top layer off), a rubber mat and then the two cutting plates as a sandwich). What you will end up with is the shape of the die embossed rather than cut all the way through.  It opens up all kinds of new possibilities with your dies – I squealed the first time I used this technique!!!!

Happy Father’s Day (I know – it’s late!!)

Hello all – I’m here today with a card I made using some of my favourite Simon Says Stamp exclusive products.  I am lucky enough to have both the Falling Stars AND Falling Hearts dies and I absolutely love them!  They cut beautifully and instantly “make” any card!  There isn’t much more needed when you have such an awesome die like this one!!  I also used Simon’s Happy word die.  The size of this die is perfect for a card front!

Avery Elle – Dotted Dies

Good morning everyone – here today with a card I made using one the amazing new dies from Avery Elle.  The Dotted Elle-ments set contains a large dotted frame that fits perfectly onto the front of a standard A2 card and here I’ve used it with some twine to give a stitched look to my card.  For the back ground I used some hearts from the Sending You stamp set as well as the little paper aeroplane and dashed “trail”.  The sentiment is also from that set.  The cute wee character is Goldie from Red and Goldie.

dotted 1 There are some VERY exciting things happening behind the scenes at Avery Elle that I’m DYING to spill the beans about but my lips are sealed for now.  Let’s just say – it’s something you’re ALL going to go gaga over – that is all!!
