Hic!!

Hello and happy new year!  I’m here with my first post of 2015 and it happens to be day one of the January 2015 release teasers from Clearly Besotted.  The release goes live at 10pm on 5th January but Steph and the rest of the design team will be sharing some projects up till then featuring the fabulous new stamps and dies.

Today I’m focusing on the gorgeous Je’taime stamp set and dies.  This set has so many uses – I LOVE the Eiffel Tower image and champagne bottle images!

I used a Tim Holtz sponge applicator with Gold Delicata ink and sponged an area on the card panel and then added a few drops of Heidi Swapp Gold Lame spritz to add big dots of gold (it’s meant to represent the champagne bubbles!!).  The bottles are a 2-step design so I stamped them first in Jungle pigment ink (Avery Elle) and then the labels in Gold Delicata.  This scene is a good representation of a typical Valentine’s day for hubby and me – plenty of Prosecco flowing!!  (The “hic” by the way is stamped using the Avery Elle Ell’s Alpha’s stamps – it’s not in the set).

My second card features the Eiffel Tower image and bit more more ink blending!  This time I used Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress inks and some Stuio Calico spray shine .

I’ll be back tomorrow with more sneak peeks at this month’s fantastic line up of new products but in the meantime make sure you visit the rest of the design team to see their amazing creations.  We are also being joined this month by the sweet Anita Bowden (Neet and Crafty) so please pop by and see her stunning samples too x

Some more Clearly Besotted Christmas!

Hi there.   Just popping with a couple of cards I made that I didn’t get a chance to share before Christmas.  I used some of the new products from Clearly Besotted released in December.  The fonts in the new Brushed Greetings stamp set are gorgeous – and a great size for a card front.  I also used the new On The Line dies these are so useful.  I have other dies like this that are on a curved or sloped edge so it’s great to have straight ones too!December 2014 2

I hope everyone is keeping well after the Christmas chaos – my house still hasn’t recovered but what the heck, it’s still Christmas until the tree comes down!

By the way – don’t forget that the new January release from Clearly Besotted is just around the corner – sneak peeks start on Stephanie’s blog on the 1st and the rest of the DT will have cards and projects to share from the 2nd onwards!  Make sure you pop in to check them out!!

Bottle tags and more!

In the run up to Christmas I always try to create something for the children’s school to sell at the Christmas Fair.  This year I gathered a few of my crafty chums and fellow mums to make some wine bottle tags and little gift bags.  For the tags I used the Cheers die from Avery Elle (had so much fun with this this year) and the little bags are made using the Lawn Fawn gift bag (adore this!!).  I pulled out a bunch of my favourite holiday sets and dies and we managed to create together about 50 tags and about 20 bags (which we filled with scrummy treats made by my mum!!).
