Clearly Besotted, the MISTI and a video!

Hey – so as one of my 2015 goals I fancied having a go at making some more videos and today I’m sharing my first one.  I have created a fairly simple card using the MISTI (Most Impressive Stamp Tool Invented)- if you haven’t come across this tool yet then check it out at My Sweet Petunia.  Iliana has a ton of great videos showing all the things you can use the MISTI for so I recommend you take a look.   Simon Says Stamp also stock it but it is currently on reserve – the demand has been enormous!  For my card I used one of the brand new stamp sets from Clearly Besotted (available to purchase at 10pm tomorrow night – 5th Feb) called Simple Silhouettes.  If you watch my video – please be gentle – I know I say “umm” a lot, I need to work on that!!  Here’s my card:

Friends Forever

and here’s the video.

Laugh Out Loud

Teaser Time

It’s day 2 of the Clearly Besotted teasers for February 2015 and today I’m sharing a card featuring a FABULOUS set called Laugh Out Loud.  Sometimes you want something on your card a bit different to the usual “Happy Birthday” sentiment.  Well this set has what you need – some funny quotes to give your recipient a wee giggle!  I particularly like “Smile, while you still have teeth”  – LOL!!

I created a bunch of balloons using some simple masking and then coloured them with Copics and finally a coating of clear Wink of Stells (which for once you can actually see in the photo!!).

Make sure you pop over to Steph’s blog and the rest of the design team for more inspiration.

Find Vodka and party!!

Hello again – this is my second post today – scroll down for my Clearly Besotted sneak peek card!!

I’ve been playing with more gorgeous Avery Elle goodies – I love that sentiment from Berry Good – seems like a good philosophy in life!  I am also in love with the Dotted Borders dies – an essential in anyone’s craft supply arsenal!

Dotted borders

I started by stamping and white embossing the lemon from Berry Good and then used water colours to paint it.  Once it was dry I embossed the sentiment in gold.  On the white panel I blended some Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and then added a few splatters of gold Heidi Swapp spray.  I added a little bundle of gold thread under the lemon die cut and then added it to the front of the panel.  I cut a piece of Avery Elle Daisy cardstock and die cut the edge with the zig zag border die.  I wrapped some more of the gold thread around the yellow panel and popped it up on the white panel with foam adhesive.  I mounted the panel onto a Mint To Be card base and finished it off with a few gold sparkle Doodlebug sprinkles.

Don’t forget to check out the Avery Elle blog every day for lots of inspiration from the amazing design team.
