Avery Elle / Chameleon Pens Blog Hop

Hello – we have a fabulous blog hop celebration going on all week at Avery Elle.  We have teamed up with Chameleon Pens and every day both design teams are bringing you loads of inspiration with a chance to win some amazing prizes.

I have been playing with the Pastels set of pens and used the Cupcake stamp set.  I started with a Kraft card base from the Natural notecards pack and used one of the flowers from the Cupcake set to stamp a subtle background in Versamark ink.  I coloured the cupcake using the Bubblegum Pink and Bisque pens and chose a red Copic for the cherry!  Although it’s difficult to see I gave the frosting a coating of glossy accents and then stamped the greeting to finish.  I die cut the panel using the smaller frame from Finished Frames and mounted it on the base card.

I just got a bunch of new goodies this week from MFT so this challenge was perfectly timed!  I fell in love with the new You Gnome Me set and thought the small brick stencil would make a perfect background.  I used Distress inks in Fired Brick and Old Paper to stipple a brick effect onto some white card stock and then stamped and coloured one of the gorgeous gnomes in Distress markers.  I die cut the flowers and stems from the Spring Garden Die-namics set and paired it up with a little fence and grass from Taylored Expressions.  The frame was cut from woodgrain cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle dies from Simon Says Stamp.

Avery Elle – Ellie

Hi there – I’m up on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the cutest little elephant set ever – Ellie!  I love that elephants are so popular right now – my daughter Pippa (7) is completely obsessed with them – I mean OB.SESSED!  I used distress inks to create the blended background and then created the panel using the Finished Frames die set.  Ellie was coloured in with Copics and the balloons were finished off with a good layer of glossy accents.
