Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Fabulous Florals Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Let’s Go Wild

You could use a wild animal image on your creation, or you could go wild with wildflowers or with colors, ! Just Go Wild and have fun, we will be looking forward to seeing your Wild Side!

So my take on the “wild” theme is inspired by the fabulous “bouquet” series of floral stamps from WPlus9 – they’re stunning. I went for the Ranunculus – you can’t argue with a word like Ranunculus, can you, lol?! I stamped the flower in Versamark then heat embossed it in white. For my choice of water colour medium I went with my Zig Clean Colour Markers – LOVE them so much, such strong, bold colours. You can’t really see it, but I added a shimmer of Wink of Stella around the flowers rather than on them, just for a change! I used the Custom Panels dies from Avery Elle to cut a curve on my water coloured panel and stamped the sentiment using the amazing With Sympathy set (also from Avery Elle) in Fog dye ink. I finished with a few strategically placed sequins and some twine.

Simon Says Stamp Masterpiece Box and a GIVEAWAY!!

HAPPY Saturday! You should have hopped here from the blog of the amazingly talented JANA MILLEN but if you want to go back to the start the head to the SIMON SAYS STAMP NOW!

So as if the arrival of the weekend wasn’t reason enough to celebrate, today I also get to join in with one AMAZING blog hop in honour of the brand new (only became available yesterday) MASTERPIECE BOX from Simon Says Stamp. So I’ve been lucky enough to be able to play with a few of these gorgeous products over the last few days and here’s what I have to share.

First up are two cards I made using a stunning set from Simon Says Stamp called Oh Happy Day. The is card uses a couple of the open flowers and a masking technique to create a frame around the sentiment. I chose some pretty, warm colours Simon Says Stamp inks and added some sparkle to them with a clear Wink of Stella pen.

Next, I chose the large solid bloom from the same set and stamped it in three colours of pink and purple. I die cut a circle and the Hugs sentiment (also from Simon Says Stamp) in black and adhered them to the card base and finished off with a few Doodlebug Sprinkles in black.

My final card feature a couple of sweet new sets from Clearly Besotted. Originally designed for use in your planners I thought I would use them on a card instead. I stamped a bunch of the Panda Planner images over a piece of white cardstock and chose a stamp from the smaller Penguin Planner set to sit in amongst them. To make him stand out a wee bit more I coated him in Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. The sentiment is from a perviously released Simon Says Stamp set called Happy Days.

As this goes live I will (hopefully) be somewhere over the Atlantic on my way to CHA! I have been looking forward to this day for MONTHS and will have lots of photos to share whilst I’m there. Make sure you’re following me on Facebook and Periscope (Glittermesilly) if you fancy catching any of the gossip!!

For my card this week I’ve paired (geddit??) a gorgeous sentiment from the recently released So Very Merry stamp set with the gorgeous WPlus9 Pear Stackers (LOVE this little set of dies). Of COURSE I managed to add some foiling into the design this time making use of the Heidi Swapp Toner Pen (I ran it around the edge of my mat and on the leaf and stalk of the pen) before running it through the Minc with gold foil. I spritzed the panel with Heidi Swapp Gold Lame spray and added some onto the pear (which I coloured with Distress Inks in Crushed Olive and Worn Lipstick). I stamped the sentiment in Versamark before embossing it in Gold and finishing off with some thread and a few strategically placed sequins!
