Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

We would like to see nice cheerful bright colors after the long gray days of winter.

We are showcasing HERO ARTS PRODUCTS this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

I’ve used one of my all-time favourite Hero Arts stamp sets, Delicate Blossoms. Poppies are one of my favourite flowers but I’ve never been able to get them to grow in my garden. When I see them in other people’s gardens I get so jealous! I used my Kuretake water colours – I love them so much! – the pigment is SO intense! So I hope you can join us this week at the Wednesday Challenge – hoping to see lots of bright and cheery cards to chase away those grey skies!

To A Special Friend – Clearly Besotted February 2015

Hey! It’s a new month and that means the start of the peeks at the new release coming from Clearly Besotted in February. As always, Stephanie and Jenny have outdone themselves and have created the most gorgeous stamp and die sets ever! One of my favourites is the Friends Forever set. I used the beautiful tulip image and coloured it with watercolours. This was made for my friend Kate who just celebrated her 40th birthday – woo hoo! I didn’t have quite the right colour of twine that I wanted for my card so I dyed some natural cord from Hemptique with a matching Copic marker (can’t remember exactly which one – sorry!!).

As well as my fabulous teamies, Amy Gray (was Wanford!!), Debby Hughes and Michelle Short (Mandy is off gallivanting around NZ – lucky thing) We have some amazing guest designers joining us again this month – I adore them all – Lucy Abrams, Jo Neville and Jen Nelson. Simon Says …. Winter Inspiration

I must first apologise for the picture – boy did I struggle to get a decent photo of this card!!! I am not boasting, but this photo does not do the shimmer and glimmer on this card ANY JUSTICE!!!

I water coloured the image using my gorgeous Kuretake watercolour set ( so in love with these). The beards on the kings are coloured with the pearl paint in the set – it’s like painting with cream!! I also added a wee bit of gold flakes to the presents – obviously that doesn’t show too well in this awful photo!!
