Clearly Besotted April Release Day 3

Hi all.  So what have you thought of the sneak peaks so far?  Fabulous aren’t they?  Have you picked a favourite yet from what you’ve seen?  No?  Then let me see if this helps!  Today my card features the Time To Celebrate stamp set and co-ordinating dies.  There is also an Additions set of time-related sentiments to go with the main images set so this really is a very versatile set.

Thanks for a lovely time

I inked some Peacock Feather distress ink into some watercolour paper and added a few drops of water to add a wee bit of extra detail.  You may not be able to pick it up but the panel has then been “spritzed with little silver speckles.   For this I used my new toy – the Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer.  I actually used it with a very old silver Krylon pen which I also ran along the bottom edge of the panel.  I was quite amazed how it worked actually!!!  I die cut the hands of the clock from silver mirri card (yes, it is about 10 years old) and stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx black.

For more delights and inspiration please visit Steph and the rest of the DT and GDTs (Tracey and Laurie) – they’re sharing some amazing projects today.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,

Caryn xxx

Clearly Besotted April teasers – Day 2.

Hi, I’m back again with more yummy teasers of some of the new products being released at Clearly Besotted Stamps this month.  The set I’m featuring today is called Fruitilicious – I don’t think I need to add any description – the name speaks for itself!!  This is a super-fun, graphic set with some cool “punny” sentiments.

The first card features one of the apple images – a two part image to allow for endless colour options.  The scalloped edge is done with one of Steph’s new edge dies – I cut it twice and fitted the lower one into the upper one with no overlapping (am I making sense, lol?).  The bottom of the card is made with acetate – just for a bit of a change!!

Get well soonThe next card features one of the juice strawberry images – again the stalk and berry are separate stamps so there’s no tricky inking techniques required here!!

Thank you berry muchRight, well I hope you’re enjoying the sneaks you’ve seen so far – head over to the rest of the DT and our awesome (and I mean AWESOME) guest designers Tracey McNeely and Laurie Wilison for more juicy inspiration!

Sneaky Peaks – Clearly Besotted April release!

Teaser TimeWow – is it that time again already?  These months are just flying by aren’t they?  I’ll need to start on my Christmas cards soon!

Before I share my cards for today I wanted to just tell you all about the fabulous weekend I just enjoyed with my CBS girls Stephanie and Aimes (and CBS boy Dean xxx)!  Where I live (on the Wirral) there is a small stamping festival called Happy Stampers that has been taking place twice-yearly for over 15 years.  It’s always so busy and most years I haven’t even been able to get a ticket!  You may remember that Clearly Besotted was invited to attend as a retailer last October and about 5 nan-seconds after Steph asked if I’d be interested in doing it with her – it was all agreed.  Well, this weekend we did it again – with an even bigger and better stand and all I can say is WOW – what a fantastic day.  Here’s a couple of photos we took…

In the restaurant we went to afterwards (Leverhulme Hotel, Port Sunlight) the menu’s were on iPads!!!!!

Steph was also asked if she would be willing to do a workshop with the Happy Stampers club – a fabulous bunch of ladies I might add!  Much to mine and Aimes delight she said yes – what a fun day we had!

And a few photos:

Right – well I guess I should get on with the real purpose of this post (assuming you’re still with me??!!)  Today sees the start of the April release sneak peaks and what scrummy delights Steph has in store this month.  Something for everyone I would say! Today I’m featuring Fresh Flowers – I love this set, the blooms are a dream to colour.Happy Mother's Day pink

As you can see both of these cards were made for Mother’s Day (which has just passed on Sunday).  The first was stamped and embossed in white onto Tim Holtz water colour paper.  I then coloured the flower in with Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn.  The “Happy” die cute is one of Steph’s new word dies – isn’t it fabulous?!

Happy Mothers Day whiteThe second card is using another flower from the Fresh Flowers set (there are three in total) and this time it was again stamped and embossed in white but I added the detail using a white gel pen. I inked the edge of the panel with Pure White Avery Elle pigment ink and added a stitched detail again with a white gel pen.

Steph and The rest of the amazing DT are also sharing some  samples showcasing this month’s release so make sure you head over to Steph’s blog for all the links.  We also have the gorgeous Tracey McNeely and Laurie Wilison (my idol) joining us again this month as guesties – yay!!!
