Avery Elle March Release Blog Hop

Hi there, I’m delighted to be sharing a card for the brand new release from Avery Elle.  This release literally has something for everyone and today I’m featuring a cute little set called Humble Pie.  I stamped three of the pies in black and coloured them with Copics before smothering them in glossy accents.  While they were drying I created a 4-bar card base in white and cut a panel of Lemon Grass card stock which I placed on the front of the card.  The yellow gingham paper is from the Everyday patterned paper pad and I’ve used a Dotted Border die to cut a scalloped border from some Daisy cardstock.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and I can’t wait to see all of the creations with these amazing new products.

Avery Elle – Thank You Die

Hello – I’m popping today with a card I created using the gorgeous Thank You die from Avery Elle.  I absolutely adore the font style and size of this die – it makes the perfect focal point on a card.

Thank you

I used Avery Elle smooth white card for my card base and cut a strip of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Everyday paper pad.  I cut a narrower strip of co-ordinating paper from the same collection and adhered them onto the card front.  One of the flag shapes from the Dotted Elle-ments set was cut from vellum and adhered onto the layered paper strips.  The Thank You was cut from white cardstock and glued in place over the vellum which also helps hold it in place so no glue is visible.  I finished it all off with some twine and a few Doodlebug sprinkles in silver glitter.

Remeber to visit the Avery Elle design blog every day for lots of amazing creations from the rest of the team.  Also, a date for your diary … the CHA release will be available on 26th February.  Can’t wait to start sharing my designs with you!

Avery Elle : Made With Love

Hi there – I’m over on the Avery Elle blog today sharing a card I made with the gorgeous Made With Love stamp set.  As my 15 year old son Daniel has JUST found a new obsession with knitting, this set is absolutely perfect!  I used the Custom Panels dies to make my front panel and layered some paper from the Avery Elle Brights paper pad .  I stamped the ball of wool image in London Fog Memento ink and coloured it with Copics.  I finished it off with a cute mini clothes peg and some co-ordinating twine.

I couldn’t finish this post today without mentioning what I was up to this past weekend!  I was honoured to attend the wedding of my beautiful friend Amy Wanford (Aimes).  Mrs Gray, as she is now known, looked AMAZING (as you can see from the photo below – WOW!) as did her lovely new hubby Chris.  The wedding was held in the stunning Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and was the most perfect day ever.  I caught up with my fabulous friend Kate too – it’s been far too long!!
