Avery Elle … Modern Caligraphy

Hey Avery Elle fans!  I’m here today sharing a card using some of the fun new products from our brand new Winter release.    The new Modern Calligraphy alphabet set is a delight – so easy to line up!  The little flowers and other elements in the set are great for dressing it up  too – I love it.

I started by putting some patterned paper onto my card front and then die cut a frame 4 times using some of the dies from the new Large Pierced Scallops elle-ments.  I stacked them up to give the frame a bit more dimension and then stamped the word “hey” using the Modern Calligraphy alphabet.  From that set I also stamped and die cut some of the flower images to dress the frame up a wee bit more.  The “congrats” is taken from the Balloons and Banners stamp set from the release.  To finish I added some little sequins and a added touch of shimmer to the flowers.

AVERY ELLE… FROSTY FRIENDS (WITH VIDEO)

Hey there Avery Elle Fans, I’m here with a card using the Frosty Friends stamp set (designed by me!).

My usual take on a snowy themed card would be to reach for the pale blues and aqua shades to give a classic icy feel to the image.  This time however, given the vintage style of the set I thought I’d try to recreate a more old-fashioned look, like an old sepia photo.

I’ve also made a little video showing how this card card came together using a partial die-cutting technique which is lots of fun!

Avery Elle… Extraordinary and Cool Treats

I’m doing double-duty on the Avery Elle blog today sharing cards created with some amazing Avery Elle stamps and dies.  The first features the Extraordinary stamp set.  I created the background using Distress Oxide Inks and coloured the cute narwhal with Copics.

The next card features the Cool Treats and Modern Alpha sets.  A coating of Glossy Accents really brings those popsicles to life!
