Cupcake Crafts #61 – Buttons and Stitching

Challenge 61 - Buttons and Stitching

At Cupcake Crafts this week our challenge is to include some form or stitching (real or faux) and buttons on your projects.   Our sponsor is The Creative Cottage, they create the most fantastic digital kits that have a selection of funky design papers and elements all of which are suitable for either scrapbooking or cardmaking! Their current kits have the cutest little robins, a fairy and forest friends and the kits are great value as you get to print the papers and elements whenever you need them so you’ll never run out of your favourite papers!

The Creative Cottage are offering one lucky winner the chance to win TWO of their digital kits this week.

My card uses a gorgeous digi image from Mo’s Digital Pencil (check out our the new challenge blog here!) and she is coloured with ProMarkers.  The papers are from Stampin Up!

Swine flu!

Swine flue 1

I LOVE this image from Mo’s Digital Pencil – it’s just so – NOW!!!!  I have been unfortunate enough to have suffered a bout of swine flu a couple of months back so can appreciate the humour in this!  Poor wee piggy!  He’s coloured with ProMarkers and the papers are from Stampin Up!  Hope for the sake of my friends and family I never have to give this away!!

Been playing in PhotoShop!

Kai and Snowman

At last, some decent light to take a photo with!!  I’m bored of the grey weather we’ve had lately but today is lovely and bright here.  I have been playing in PhotoShop with some digi images from Mo’s Digital Pencil after being inspired the cards I’ve seen from some of my new teamies over at Mo’s Challenge blog.  If you want to know what I mean, check out Sheila’s blog.

I have used two different digi images – Kai in the Snow and Snowman both available from Mo’s Digital Pencil and combined them in Photoshop.  Sheila helped me out with the twiddly bits but I was amazed how effective it looks and how I’ve never thought about doing it before!!!  I flipped the snowman and reduced Kai a wee bit and then, making sure Kai was the “active” image used the eraser on the bits that were “covering” the snowman IYKWIM?  I then coloured it all with PMs and a bit of glitter and there you go!

Right, off for a quick shower then tidy up the house before the kids get home and trash it again!
