Cupcake Crafts #70 – 5×5 birthday card

Well, this comes as a bit of relief from the last minute crazed making and writing of Christmas cards (despite making then all year, I still haven’t actually SENT any!!)  Tammy has picked a nice easy challenge for us this week at Cupcake Crafts which is to make a 5×5 birthday card.  As it also happens to be one of my best friends birthdays today too (HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAJINDER) this was just the theme I needed to get my bum in gear and make her a card!  It’s not on the challenge blog as I was a tad late getting it posted but pop on over and have a look at the other DT cards – they’re awesome.  We have a new team member too – the HUGELY talented and gorgeous Victoria (Blue Jelly Too) so hope you get the chance to visit.
I have used this cute WOJ stamp for my card and coloured it with ProMarkers.  The papers are from a DCWV stack (I think – they were a giveaway from Steph!).

Right, better get the dinner on – the kids have to be back in school for 6.30 for their Nativity performance!!!

Mo’s Digital Challenge #10 – A note of thanks.

It’s week 10 already over at Mo’s Challenge Blog and our hostess for December, Lydia wants us to make a “thank you” card.  This is the first non-Christmas card I’ve made in weeks!!  I have used the stunning “Sugar” fairy available HERE and coloured her with PMs and stickles.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the papers are from the Sweet stack by DCWV. Hope to see your creations this week over at the blog.

I’m off to the Lakes today to clear out our flooded apartment in the Marina Village in Bowness.  I’m dreading it as EVERYTHING has to be taken out – including the carpets!!  My gorgeous little apartment is wrecked – I’m gutted!  I have to be thankful that it’s not our actual home though and we’re insured so things could be a lot worse.  We could’ve not sold our boat 2 and half months ago which, as I saw on a slideshow on YouTube is now completely under water!!!

Hope you have a better day where ever you are!

Hugs,

Cupcake Crafts Challenge ‘#69 – Sing a Christmas carol (and it’s my birthday too!!!)

Our challenge this week at Cupcake Crafts is to use a line from a Christmas song on your card so I have used the “Tis the season to be jolly” line from “Deck the Halls”.  The sentiment and papers are from Pink Petticoat and the Christmas tree stamp and Raspberry Fizz card are from Papertrey Ink.  As the current challenge over at A Passion For Papertrey is Christmas trees then I am also entering this card over there!!

Right, hubby is taking me for lunch and a spot of Christmas shopping today for my birthday and then we’re all going out for dinner once the kids are home from school.  Have a great day wherever you are.

Hugs,
