Ooh, I’m in love with PTI!!

My goodies arrived on Friday from Papertrey Ink and I am officially in love!  I have had a few bits and pieces (some stamps, card, a couple of ribbons etc) for a while but it’s mostly Christmas stuff and I just haven’t been in the mood to do Christmas cards recently (I wonder why!!).  Anyway, I have now bought a few new stamp sets, ribbons, buttons, more card, papers etc, and spent a couple of hours bonding with them last night.  I feel like I’m starting again with crafting – like I’ve got new life!!!!  I made a few cards – 4 of which I can’t share just yet as they’re either DT projects or they’ve been sent to people who would probably see them if I posted them here.  So here is the one I CAN share.
All supplies are PTI.  The stamps are from the Baby Buttons set (OMG it’s gorgeous) and they were stamped in Dark Chocolate ink.  The cupcake has been paper pieced in papers from the Pretty Pastels range and the “frosting” is white Flower Soft (reminds me so much of dessicated coconut – yum).  I’ve used my Labels nesties to make an aperture in the card and put a peice of acetate behind on which to mount the cupcake.  Behind the window on the inside back of the card there is a matching nestie shape stamped in Aqua Mist using the Polka Dots Basics stamp set.  Finally I’ve put an Aqua Mist button on the cake and dragged out my trusty old sewing machine for a wee bit of stitching.

Right, better go and do some HW (shudder).  Chris has taken 4 of the kids to Deeside ice-skating so I’m going to tackle the task of sorting the washing out!!  What else are Sunday’s for!!!!  (Don’t answer that – I was being sarcastic!!)

Big hugs,

Mo’s Digital Challenge #16 Shades of Grey (except I cheated!!)

Our fabulous hostess with the mostess Lisa has given us her final challenge for January over at Mo’s Digital Challenge blogShades of Grey (V. appropriate for the weather conditions we’ve been having here of late!!). I tried my best to make it JUST grey but I just wasn’t happy with the result so ended up taking it apart and adding a good old dollop of pink to it!!  I’m much more at peace with it now, lol!!  The image is one of my favourites and is available from Mo’s Digital Pencil. The DT (have followed the rules correctly) and made some stunning creations using Mo’s images so please drop by for a peek.

Right, well my order of new PTI goodies has been scheduled for delivery for tomorrow so I’d better go and clear my desk so I’m ready for a good old play when the kids have gone to bed.  What else could be better for a Friday night in??

Hugs to you all.

Passion For ProMarkers #32 – Pastel Green and Blossom

Phew, made this just in time for this week’s challenge!  Thought I was going to have to admit defeat but at the 11th hour I managed to rustle something up!!  Our theme this week over at Passion For ProMarkers is a colour challenge – Blossom and Pastel Green.  I’ve gone for the sickly-sweet look with this card – ideal for a little girls birthday if you can stop from vomiting at the sight of all that sugar!!!!  The papers are from Doodlebug (I think) as are the little sweetie stickers.
Hope you can hop on over to the blog and check out the challenge.
Cheers for now,
