Mornig peeps – here we are at Challenge #17 over at Mo’s Digital Challenge!!  This week our gorgeous February host Dawn want us to incorporate wood into our projects.  I was initially flumoxed but when I started looking through all of Mo’s images there was wood in quite a lot of them!!!  Of course it doesn’t just have to be in the image, you could use a wood effect paper, embellishments, the word “wood” or “would” etc…  The paper on my card is from Cosmo Cricket and the sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages.

Ok, so I’m stretching this a bit and hoping my bosses Gina and Denise over at Passion for ProMarkers are happy to accept a teddy bear as a “creature”.  It’s just that I was SOOO keen to use this little stamp from my new Papertrey Ink set, Baby Button Bits!  I have coloured him in powder blue and pastel green (a perfect mach for PTI’s Aqua Mist I might add) and then used the blender pen to give him dots (by bleaching out some of the colour).

The polka dots and sentiment, button and ribbon are all aqua mist and the DP is from the Pretty Pastels paper set.  Don’t you just love that sentiment?

The rest of the design team (whose animals all have a pulse!!) have made some gorgeous cards as always so please pop on over for a wee look.

Ok, I’m actually sitting here feeling rather proud of myself thank you very much!  Why??  Because I have just redesigned my blog all on my own without any help from ANYONE else!!  I have been feeling somewhat bored with my black background and header for a while and have been after a much cleaner, fresher look.  I didn’t know where to start so googled and found this site, Musings of a Housewife and in nice, plain, simple to understand words, she explained how to do it!  I looked around on the web for a picture of some diamonds (glitter, geddit?) and hey presto – a brand new header.  I am so pleased with myself and it hasn’t even taken me an hour.
