Spring is in the air!

Morning all.  It’s been feeling very Spring-like up here on the Wirral for the last few days.  The sun has been shining and we’ve had clear, blue skies.  I have been dying to use this new Papertrey Ink stamp set, Scattered Showers, since I got it and when mum asked me for a card yesterday for someone who is leaving at work, I thought of this set straight away!  I don’t really do A5 cards but as there was going to be about 25 people signing it it needed to be bigger than my usual 6″ square.  I used Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst, Orange zest and Summer Sunrise inks for the umbrellas and black stazon for the handles.  You can’t see all that well in the photo but the strip across the middle is acetate.
I will be back later with some pictures I just HAD to share with you of my new Papertrey Ink collection and my funky new cardstock storage – I LOVE it!!
Have a great Saturday everyone.

Mo’s Digital Challenge #21 – Blue, Brown and 1 neutral.

AT LAST!!  We had a crisis with our network yesterday – couldn’t retrieve anything off my computer and had no way of uploading my card for this weeks challenge at Mo’s!!  It is all resolved now though so I can finally share it!  Our gorgeous and talented new hostess for the month of March is our Cathy and this week she has asked us for a card using brown, blue and one neutral.  Great colour combo this.  I have used one of Mo’s latest images, Sydney on Easter and she is coloured with promarkers.  The easter sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages by Papertrey Ink.  We are also blessed to have our first GDT at Mo’s too – Linda – so please pop along and visit her fabulous blog.

Right, better late than never I suppose.  Off to have a quick shower then try and and get this house back in order – it’s in a right guddle!

Passion For Papertrey challenge – Black and White

Well, I’ve just about calmed down after receiving my big old order of new PTI lovliness today (see post below!!) and managed to get a photo of this card that I made last night.  It is for the current challenge over at Passion For Papertrey and I’ve used True Black card and stamped the background with Polka Dots Basics in Versamark before embossing with white filligree embossing powder – so fab to use by the way.  I have also used Vintage Labels which are designed to go perfectly with the nestibilities.

Ok, it’s now 1.30am and I must get myself to bed.  Have become a massive fan of True Blood over the past few days (have the season 1 boxset and I just can’t keep away from it!!)  so these late night are down to drooling yet again over vampires.  Well, I have to do something whilst I’m waiting for Amazon to deliver my copy of Breaking Dawn!!
Sweet dreams!
