Well happy weekend all – cold innit?  I am nursing a bruised bottom today (thanks to a wee slip on the ice this morning – grrrr) – so thought I’d put my sudden immobility to some use and create a card for my brother’s birthday (which is actually today so is going to be a tad belated – sorry Dan!!)
I was inspired by the new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge which is to be inspired by a movie.  I LOVE movies and one of my all time favourite actors is Robert DeNiro.  This card is a nod to one of his best films, The Deerhunter.  All products are Papertrey Ink (Masculine Motifs and A Little Argyle stamp sets – so underused but so useful for blokey cards!)

Well, hope you all stay safe wherever you are and be careful on those icy pavements – take it from someone who knows!!!

I was having a lovely little stroll through blogland this evening and noticed a great sketch over on CASual Fridays challenge blog.  Here is the sketch…

I do apologise for the poor lighting and photography!  I am still getting used to our new camera!
I love this set from PTI – it was one of the first I ever bought.  The umbrellas are gorgeous stamped in Pure Poppy – especially the big polka dot one!

This card is for my hubby who is away on a skiing trip this week.  I have to say I’m missing having him to warm my feet on these cold nights!!

Hi, I am here with my creation for the latest challenge over at A Passion For Papertrey – Inspired by A Book.  The books I have loved reading the most lately have been the Twilight Saga so that was what immediately came to mind.  I recreated my version of the front cover of the first book in the series using the apple die from PTI.  The ever-so-appropriate sentiment is from the WMS Midnight Feast set.
