Happiness is…..

Brand new cutting pads for my Big Shot!!  I can’t believe how much simple pleasure I got from opening and using them – like rolling in fresh, virgin snow!!  I am so happy!!

Anyhoo, aside from that I also got a Stamp Press!  Watching the video tutorials on the Clean and Simple Cardmaking classes (where EVERYONE uses them!!) made me realise I could not live my life any longer without one.  However, finding one in the UK was not an easy task.  In the end, after trolling through 4 pages of Google I did find one and it arrived today – yay!!  No more dropping my acrylic block on top of my card when trying to eyeball where to stamp – can’t wait to with it play!

So, the card I’m sharing today was inspired by the techniques showcased in Day 6 of Clean and Simple Card Making 2.  Kristina made a card using a tone-on-tone background which I just LOVED.  So I used my Zig Zag background stamp from Hero Arts and the new and very wonderful Leafy Accents dies from Clearly Besotted (available soon!!).

I am So pleased I participated in these classes – I really look forward to every new class.  I really recommend it to anyone looking to boost their mojo!!

Right, off to watch Greys Anatomy (up to series 5 now!!)

Big Hugs

Good afternoon all – here with details of our latest challenge over at A Passion For Papertrey.  We have a lovey-dovey feeling going on this time so want to see your love themed creations.

I got busy with my Big Shot and dies and decided to make a card I could send to a friend or loved one for any occasion really!!
This card also fits nicely in with the theme at CASual Friday’s this week which is “Love Letters” so I’m sharing there too!!

{BIG HUGS}
Cardstock: Kraft, Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores.
Tools: Modern Alphabet (UC), Stitched Squares (Lil’ Inkers), Precious Hearts (Memory Box)

I’ll be back later with my card for Day 6 of Clean and Simple Cardmaking – got some embossing to do – yay!

Be Mine

Managed to whip up this little card today after being inspired by Day 6 – Clean and Simple Cardmaking class – Die Cutting.  I have been a HUGE fan of die cutting since I began card making over 8 years ago so this class was really fun for me.  Anyone who knows me also knows I am slightly in love with red and white polka dots patterns so this card combines two of my favourite things!

{Be Mine}
Stamps: Post It: Love (Clearly Besotted)
Ink: Pure Poppy (PTI)
Card: Stampers Select White , Kraft (PTI),  polka dot paper (Pink Petticoat)
Tools: Nestibilities (Hearts), Linen/Canvas Impression plate (PTI), Scallop punch (SU)

Hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
