Just Fabulous!

Hydrangea x 3

I have been having even more fun with the Clearly Besotted May release – this time with a stunning set called Just Fabulous.  The name of this set just about sums it up!!  There is a stunning hydrangea bloom (an outline and a block stamp) so whether you like to colour or prefer to stamp solid images – you’ll love this set.  I did a wee bit of masking on this card and stamped the main flower image 3 times before getting to work with my ProMarkers.  I’m still in my yellow period as you can see – must be all this fabulous weather we’re having!

By the way, I’ll be popping back tomorrow to announce the winner of my little blog giveawy – so make sure you stop by if you’ve entered!

A Passion For Papertrey – Stamp Your Own Background Challenge

Hooray for sun!  I am in such a happy mood because we have had 3 consecutive days of lovely sunny sun and I LOVE it!  Makes you want to drink cocktails and sit by a pool (hmm, wish I had one of those!!).  Anyhoo, onto the reason for the post!  It’s new challenge day over at A Passion For Papertrey and this time we want to see your stamped backgrounds.  Simples!  Because of the glorious weather I was drawn to shades of orange and yellow for my card and used the gorgeous hexagon border stamps from Rosie Posie.  This card really remind me of that film “Bee Movie” – lol!!

Hi Honey

I paired the pattern with a very appropriate little sentiment from Clearly Besotted’s Build A Bug stamp set!  I hope you can pop over to the blog and join in the challenge.

CASEing Laurie!

The card I’m sharing this evening is totally inspired by one of my favourite designers, Laurie Willison.  Her graphic style really speaks to me and her recent obsession (if I may call it that?!) with stripes has had my jaw dropping on more than one occasion.  You can find her original post HERE:

I love the negative space with the heart and of course the stripes??!!

So here is my take on it:

happy birthday case study dt

Thanks Laurie (if you’re reading this) – I love your work and your cheery disposition!  I am sharing this over at the CASE Study blog – Chupa’s looking for some new DT members so I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed here!  (makes it a tad difficult to type though!!).
