Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

FLOWERS

With or gardens, pots and parks now coming into bloom we thought our blogs should join in. Whether you choose to use die cuts, stamps or ready made flowers we are sure that they will all be pretty and we are looking forward to seeing what you make!

We are showcasing Prima Flowers Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I love this Prima stamp set called Bayou Flowers. It has a lovely sketchy design and stamps beautifully. I used the purple inks from Altenew for the different layers and love how they turned out.

STENCIL IT

We are showcasing Stencil Girl Stencils this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I used the fabulous Starlight stencil from The Stencil Girl to add a subtle texture to my base card before layering on some gorgeous blooms from Altenew’s Layered Lily set. I adore the images in this stamp set and the love how they look against the pretty background (created with Avery Elle Lemon Grass ink – my current favourite colour to use). I made good use of my MISTI for this card too – it really helps me when creating layered images and placing sentiments too – can’t live without it!!

ANYTHING GOES

We are showcasing STAMPENDOUS PRODUCTS this week. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!

I decided to create a floral Mother’s Day card for the challenge this week. It was last month here in the UK but I know elsewhere in the world it is in May so I’m not entirely behind with this card!!! I used the pretty Fronds stamp set from Stampendous to create a simple bunch of flowers – they could have been picked fresh out of any English country garden!! I stamped them in a light ink then used Zig Clean Colour Markers to colour loosely over the image. To give it a more water coloured appearance I went over the ink with a water brush. I die cut the panel with the Scalloped Dotted Border die from Avery Elle and finished with some twine and a few sequins.
