Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the last week’s challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Use Patterned paper

This week we are showcasing products from Doodlebug.You don’t have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

This week’s challenge is a fun one – with so many gorgeous patterned paper pads available from Doodlebug it was difficult to know which to pick.  I loved the Cream and Sugar collection when I first saw it so that was really my obvious choice.  I picked up the packet of “Odds and Ends” die cuts too so this card really cam together in no time!  All I did was die cut a frame from the donut design paper to make a frame using the stitched rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp and added a bit of shimmer with a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.  Cute or what?!

Simon Says Stamp … December 2016 Card Kit

Hi there.  I know this kit sold out in record time (and why wouldn’t it – it’s amazing) but you can still buy the elements at SSS including the cute as can be stamp set, Merry and Bright which is in stock (for now!!).  I love the colour combo in this set, there is a real retro feel to it which is right up my crafty alley!!  I love the Doodlebug papers and there’s even a Chibi-tronics mini kit in there too!  I’ve started playing with the kit and have three cards to share today JUST using the papers and card – I’ll have a few more featuring the stamp set soon!!

The only bits added to this card that aren’t in the kit are the snowflake and the bakers twine.!

This card was whipped up in seconds!  I cut the paper down to fit an A2 card using the Avery Elle Custom Panels Elle-ments and added some twine – boom!

Simon Says … Things With Wings!

I LOVE the bright and bold colour combinations you always get with Doodlebug products.  They’re both at CHA last year was one of the cheeeriest, happiest places to be – everything was just so fun!  For my card I wanted to combine a couple of the papers from the Springtime paper pack and added a simple bold sentiment from Avery Elle’s Big Greetings to bring the colour scheme together.  A bit of twine and a wee lady bird to finish it off was all this clean and simple card needed 🙂
EDITED:  Unfortunately it appears the Springtime paper pad is no longer available but Simon Says Stamp have a TON of other fabulous Doodlebug paper pads to choose from which would work just as well in this design.  Look HERE!
