Clearly Besotted – Simply Scrumptious.

Teaser Time

Today is the first day of teasers over at Clearly Besotted and this month (as always) there are 7 gorgeous new stamp sets all with co-ordinating dies.  For my card today I’m featuring the stunning Simply Scrumptious set.  You can create beautiful wreaths and arrange them with flowers or strawberries and accent with tendrils and swirls!  I love this set – it just screams summer!  The dies make creating the most beautiful wreaths really easy – I’m in love!

Isn’t that Pinterest mood board so happy?  It just makes me smile every time I look at it! I’ve been itching to use my new MFT Some Bunny stamps since they arrived on my desk a couple of weeks ago and I thought this would be the perfect occasion.  I wanted to create a little “egg-hunt” scene and just love that particular bunny from the set – she really looks like she’s up to no good, lol!!  I used various colours of Bazzill card stock and gathered together some dies to make my scene.  To create the awning across the top I cut a strip of white card stock and a strip of pink then die cut them with a scallop border die.  I then simply chopped the pink strip up and added bands onto the white strip – I love it!  I scored it along the top and folded it a little to make it pop up.  To add a little detail to the easter eggs I used a chicken wire stencil to add an embossed design – like the foil on a real egg.

Smile and Celebrate!

Hello – I have a couple of cards to share today featuring two of the brand new stamp sets from Clearly Besotted.  The first is another of the gorgeous outline floral sets that Stephanie is JUST.SO.GOOD.AT!  I just love this one and this daffodil is just the perfect image for welcoming Spring.

just darling

My second card uses a set called Sunburst and it’s SO useful for building up a fabulous and funky pattern using all the cool elements in the set.  Don’t you love the colours of the inks I’ve chosen?  They’re the new Ranger dye ink pads and I think I may actually be in love!

I made good use of my MISTI again on both of these cards.  On the first I was able to get a super-deep impression of the sentiment by stamping twice eliminating the blotchy image of the first generation.  On the second card I used the MISTI to accurately place the different images to build up the sunburst images.  This tool is just so darn useful!!

Thanks for stopping by – make sure you pop to the see the rest of DT for lots more inspiration.
