A Valentine for Hubby!

This year is the first year since we met in 1991 that my husband and I have not been together for Valentines Day!!  We don’t always do anything particularly extravagant or indulgent (although sometimes we do!!) but we are ALWAYS together!  So where is he I hear you ask?  Well, he’s in Andorra skiing!!  I know – alright for some eh?  Anyhoo, in his absence I have made him a wee card for his return this afternoon.  We are MASSIVE Apple junkies in this house and there are quite a few iPhone-style dies and stamp sets appearing at the moment. I fell in love with the MFT Cute Cameras 2 die set so have used the little iPhone die to create this simple card.  Chris HAS to have everything in black (cars, iPads, iPhones etc) whereas mine are all white!!  The sentiment is from Post It: Love from Clearly Besotted – fits well doesn’t it?!

Right, while the cats been away – the mouse has been playing with all her new stamps and dies so operation “tidy up before Chris gets home and realises I’ve done virtually no housework for a week” has to start!!

I hope you are having a great day where ever you are.  Some parts of the UK have been hit by awful flooding and winds so if you’re suffering – I hope you get some comfort and normality back soon.

We’re all doing ok here apart from a few bugs flying about the place this week – poorly tummy’s and sore throats – yuk!  All appear to be on the mend now though – thank goodness.  To banish those nasty winter bugs I made a card to brighten up the day and send some well wishes.  I recently managed to get the fabby Wplus9 set, Milk and Cookies and so decided to make orange juice!!

have a great dayThe sentiment is from Tag Along by Clearly Besotted – thought it went well with this card!  The “Step it up” challenge has been extended over at Dawn’s blog Stamp Away With Me so I thought I would enter this card over there.  There’s quite a bit of dimension on this card with foam dots popping up the bottle and oranges and a good dollop of glossy accents too!

Oh, and I also thought I’d enter this card over at the CASology challenge blog where this week’s cue card is BOLD!

Case Study Challenge – more from Danielle

Hello, here with my next card for the Case Study Challenge where I’m a guest designer for the month of February – yay!  The muse this month, if you didn’t already know is Danielle Flanders (whom I adore) and here is my take on her card this week:

The thing that struck me most about Danielle’s card is the hombre background so I grabbed my Modern Borders set from Mama Elephant and got to work.  I love that effect!
