aechibibloghopbanner

Avery Elle and Chibitronics are pairing up for a fun collaboration today.  Chibitronics has products that we can use to easily illuminate our  cards, paper crafts, textiles, and more.  They are so cool!  Be sure to check out their website for videos, tutorials, examples and templates.

We are giving away one Chibitronics STEM Starter Kit as well.   Just comment on this post or one of the design team members posts by Midnight, PST October 9th to be entered to win.  There is no purchase necessary and you must be 18 years of age or older to enter.  This giveaway is void where prohibited.  Winner will be announced on the Avery Elle blog on Monday, October 10th.

You should have arrived here from the awesome blog of Karolyn Loncon – I bet you LOVED her amazing card!  I have another cool, interactive card to share with you and MAN was it fun to make!  I’m not going to lie, when I first saw the Chibi Tronics box I was nervous (I spent most of my Physics lessons at school crying in the back row praying it would all be over soon)!!  I needn’t have been worried – these kits are super easy to use and when that little light goes on it’s so exciting!  I brought together a few stamp and die sets to create this card (listed below).  I thought the little bobble on the end of the cat’s hat would be the idea place for a light to go.  Fun or WHAT??!

Avery Elle – Hanging Banners/Happy Home

Hey there.  I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog today with a festive little card using the gorgeous Happy Home dies and Hanging Banners stamps and dies.  I started with a 5″ square card and created my little holiday home using wood effect card layered up with all the little Christmassy elements.  I used the string of lights from Retro Ornaments to add some extra festiveness!!  A few little blobs of Glossy Accents in the right places adds some more sparkle and shine.

STAMPtember Avery Elle Exclusive

exclusive_avery-elle-01

Yay!  Today we are celebrating with Simon Says Stamp on a collaboration with Avery Elle as part of the 2016 STAMPtember event.  Extra exciting for me as I happily design for both these amazing companies.  Avery Elle has designed this fabulous snowflake stamp set called Christmas Cheer along with co-ordinating dies – isn’t it amazing?1_359498_zmI created a couple of cards using the stamps and some different ink blending techniques.  The first uses Distress Inks blended onto Bristol watercolour paper (my favourite) and then stamped over with Doll Pink dye ink for the snowflakes and sentiment.  I aded a shimmery sheen using some Shimmer spray.  (all supplies linked below).

For the second card I stamped the snowflakes in Versamark and then heat embossed in white.  I used Zig Clean Colour markers to scribble across the panel and a wet cloth to blend it out – this technique was shared by Jennifer McQuire a few days ago and I loved it – great fun!  Again I finished with a good spray of shimmer spray and although you can’t see it, it’s mega sparkly!

Please check out the rest of the Avery Elle Design Team and also the fab designers over on the Simon Says Stamp blog too for more great samples using this set – happy stamping.
