Avery Elle Fall 2019 Release Blog Hop

Hey there!  Today is one of my favourites days of the year – the launch of the Avery Elle Fall release!  I love all things Fall and Christmas so look forward to the new sets every year.  This year is one of the best yet and I’m excited to share one of the sets I designed – Alpine Christmas.  I actually drew this set (and the other one, Holiday Skates) back in January on a ski trip in Andorra!  I saw old vintage sleds and skis decorating many of the shops and restaurants in the town and so was totally inspired!

I drew the sled and kept the woodgrain pattern as an option so you could colour it solidly or give it the aged wooden appearance – I find stamping the sled first and then lining up the woodgrain pattern over it is the best way to do it.  For both these cards I stamped the sled and wood pattern then added colour using Copics.  On all three of my cards I’ve used some of the new papers from the brand new Holiday Paper Pad – I’m in LOVE with it.  The sentiment on this first one is from the new Ephemera pack too – swoon!

My last card features the vintage wooden skis and I used some of the sentiments from the new Seasonal Sentiments set – so incredibly useful to have in your collection!!

Avery Elle … Simple Sentiments

Hey, I’m on the Avery Elle Blog today with a card showing a way to use the Simple Sentiments stamp set.  I decided to use the “Thank You” related sentiments in the set together to create a tone on tone background for a subtle way to include a sentiment without the need for a strip or open space.

I started with a bright green piece of card and stamped the sentiments in Celery pigment ink to cover the panel.  I then used a piece of Celery striped paper from the Jewel Paper Pad and adhered it to the lower section and then die cut it using Double Pierced Rectangles to create the mat.  I added some silver sparkle washi tape along the join.

I used the Wonky Scalloped Circle Frame for more interest in the background and then stamped and coloured (using Zig Clean Colour Markers) the Floral Bouquet image before die cutting and adding to the card front.  To finish I added some glitter to the flower centres.

Avery Elle … Three Hearts Die

Hey there,  I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog today sharing a clean and simple card featuring the gorgeous new Three Hearts Die.  This die, like the previously released Three Stars die has so many uses and not just for Valentines day either.  I selected three of the striped papers from the Sorbet Collection paper pack and used a great sentiment (LOVE the font) from the new Some Bunny stamp set.

I die cut a white panel using the three hearts die and adhered the different patterned papers behind each aperture ensuring the stripes are angled in different directions.  I stamped the sentiment in Fog Dye ink and finished off by wrapping some white twine around the panel and popping it using foam tape onto a white card base.

Supplies:

Three Hearts Die

Some Bunny Stamp Set

Sorbet Collection Paper Pack

Fog Dye Ink
