Avery Elle – Numbered Balloons

Hey there, I’m on the Avery Elle blog today with a card I created for my friend who recently celebrated her 40th birthday.  I am loving the look of black white and gold right now so I took the “40” balloons and die cut them before heating them in gold embossing powder.  I then stamped the greeting from the same set in gold and mounted them onto a panel cut with the smaller of the frames from Finished Frames.  I took a sheet of patterned paper from the Neutral Collection and finished with a sprinkling of sequins.

Avery Elle – Fly By

I’m over on the Avery Elle blog today with a card featuring the gorgeous Fly By stamp set and dies.  I actually went for a different look and rather than use the aeroplane image I focussed on the cool sentiment dies that are included in the die collection.  I’m really into stripes at the moment (just take a look at my last few blog posts) and the Avery Elle patterned paper packs all contain a fabulous diagonal stripe paper in them.  I used the black and white one for this card from the Neutrals collection.  I also used some gold foils to give the die cut sentiment and hearts a shiny look.

Avery Elle – Super

Hello and happy Monday!  Monday means Avery Elle time on my blog and today I’m sharing a doozey of a set called Super.  It has a set of coordinating dies available too which can be used alone or with the images.  There is a definite “comic book” (or graphic novel to the geeks!!) style about this set so I took my inspiration from there.  One of the papers from the Everyday Paper Pad has a sunray design so I chose this as my backdrop.  I then die cut the city skyline from black card and again from white.  I stamped the white peice with the coordinating stamp and then coloured it with Copics.  As I was making this for my nephew I stamped the Happy Birthday and then took a wee number 7 from Elle’s Aplhas to personalise it a wee bit..
