Avery Elle … Hand Drawn Florals

Hey, I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog sharing a card using the very pretty and versatile Hand Drawn Florals stamp set.  I love the whimsical feel of the flowers and they are so fun to colour.  Today I’ve used the Sapphire and Mint to Be liquid watercolours mixed with some subtle shimmer and a few Nuvo drops here and there for added bling.

I started with a stone coloured card base and added a white die cut using Horizontal Stripes (my favourite!).  I stamped the flowers using Versamark ink onto the textured side (just for a change) of some Tim Holtz watercolour cardstock and heat embossed them with Avery Elle Silver embossing powder I painted them with the watercolours and then decided to fussy cut them instead of die cut them with the dies.

I then simply arranged the flowers how I wanted them to the card front and finished with a sentiment from the Floral Bouquet set and a few clear sequins.

Birthday Wishes – Mondo Peony in Avery Elle liquid watercolour

Hey there.  Just popping to share a card I made using the gorgeous Mondo Peony stamp set from Ellen Hutson.  I just LOVE this stamp – it’s a dream to water colour.  I used Avery Elle Liquid Watercolours in Fizz and Cherry which gave me a gorgeous blend of pinks and oranges – I LOVE them.

I stamped the flower onto watercolour paper using versamark ink then heat embossed it in Avery Elle Rich Gold fine embossing powder.  Once I coloured the flower and let it dry I finished off with a die cut sentiment from the Avery Elle A Tag For All Die set.  I added a few Doodlebug Gold Sparkle Sprinkles to add some bling!

#getcrackingonchristmas – April 2018

The third Thursday of the month is upon us again so this calls for us to Get Cracking On Christmas!  If you’ve not heard about this idea then let me bring you up to speed.  A few of my fellow crafty friends (Jenn Shurkus, Chari Moss and Cheiron Brandon) all got to chatting and decided that this year they would try to get a head start on their Christmas cards by challenging themselves to create at least one every month.  I thought this was a superb idea so I jumped in on the gig too!!!

This month I have played with an amazing set from Sunny Studio Stamps that I bought LAST year but never got a chance to ink up – Holiday Style .  I have had the pleasure to meet Mendi (the owner) at Creativation a couple of times and boy is she a sweetheart.  Such a nice lady.  Her ability to create these realistic looking designs is amazing!

Here’s my card created using the 3-step bell image and pine branches.  It’s difficult to see but I added shimmer and glossy accents to the bells too!

Supplies:

Holiday Style Clear Stamps – Sunny Studio

Green Tea Ink – Catherine Pooler

Inks For the Bell – Memento London Fog, Simon Says Stamp Smoke, Memento Tuxedo Black

Inks For the Bow – Avery Elle Strawberry, Catherine Pooler Rockin Red and Peppermint Scrub.

Make sure you pop along to the other girls and see what they’ve got in store for our festive inspiration this month:
