Embracing the Space!

I am getting so much inspiration from the Clean and Simple Card making 2 classes.  We’re onto day 4 now and today is all about embracing the negative space on your cards.  Personally I am a big lover of lots of white space and a lot of my cards do tend to lean towards the “less is more” spectrum anyway – so this class was right up my alley!!  I think I have actually managed to combine Day 2 (one layer card) with Day 4 on this card so I’m feeling rather smug that I’ve managed to catch up!!

{Get Well Soon}
Stamps: Delicate Blossoms (Hero Arts), Thanks a Bunch (Clearly Besotted)
Ink: Brilliance (Twilight)
Card: Neenah Solar White
Other: Quickie glue pen and prisma glitter

I used an inkpad that literally hasn’t seen the light of day in about 3 years!  My Brilliance Twilight pad has been shoved in a drawer for so long but when I opened it today it was just as juicy as when I first used it!  I stamped the narrower of the two designs from Hero Arts Delicate Blossoms with a graduated effect and then used a water brush to water-colour using the same ink.  You can’t see it in the photo but the image is super shimmery!  The sentiment is from the Thanks a Bunch stamp set from Clearly Besotted.

Right – I’m off to tackle a technique from the Day 3 class – gradient stamping!  Back soon!

Happy Anniversary

Hi.  Just here to share a card I made using one of the sketches from Day 1 of Clean and Simple Cardmaking 2.  I hadn’t really planned to enrol but just thought I’d give it a try and so here I am!!
The card I chose to case is from Amber at Damask Love.  I went pretty literally with it – didn’t change much from her card really – just used different stamps!!
Anyhoo – he’re’s my copy, erm take!!!

{Happy Anniversary}
Stamps: Paired Up (Clearly Besotted), Eat Cake (WMS)
Ink:Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Rose), Smokey Shadow, Dark Chocolate (PTI)

Just popping in with a very quick post to share a card I whipped up for the Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop.  I don’t often get a chance to join in but managed to grab a moment this evening so thought I’d have a go.

Theme is to use black as the background colour so I popped mine with pink!

I didn’t actually use any stamping on this card – just die-cuts!

{LOVE U}
Card: Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Bazzil (Raven I think!)
Tools: Label Basics, dies, Modern Alphabet Dies, Nestibilities.
Other: Felt. Gingham ribbon, RF button.

Off to check some of the other entries before heading to bed.
Hugs,
