CASE Study Challenge (the last one not the new one!!)

I know I missed it (story of my life lately) but here is card I was inspired to make when I saw this card by JJ Bolton, the current muse over at the CASE Study challenge blog.  This is the last challenge – not the current one but even though I’m late for the party I thought I’d share it anyway!!

Here’s JJ’s card…

And here’s my take on it – it’s not interactive (still getting to grips with that particular arena of cardmaking) but I was drawn to the negative die cut and bold colours.

The speech bubble dies and sentiment are from one of the latest releases from Clearly Besotted stamps – go check them out!

Thanks again for dropping by!

{CASE}ing Aimes!

THIS IS MY SECOND POST TODAY – PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MY APFP CHALLENGE CARD!

Every time my lovely friend Aimes comes up with a new and clever interactive card I am always inspired!  Today however I have decided to not just be inspired but ACTUALLY give it a go myself!  Here’s the card that got me to give this technique a bash…

Aimes

Now, my take on Aimes latest interactive masterpiece is NOTHING like it, I have taken her “reveal” ideal and used it with one of the fabby sets from Steph’s latest release at Clearly Besotted Stamps Super Dad.  At first glance the card looks quite conservative, a little “grey”…

Dad its your day 1

…. but wait – pulll up on the little tab at the top and whey-hey – the tie changes from boring pinstripe to neon stripes!!  Hee hee!!  I had a few “issues” whilst making this card but for my first go I’m actually quite pleased!  Hope it get the “Aimes” seal of approval anyway 🙂

Dad it's your day 2

Thanks for popping in to see me – have a great day!

{ps.  I have a giveaway running at the moment so if you want the chance to win some goodies click HERE}

Lets Celebrate (at A Passion for Papertrey)

Aaaaand finally – here I am with an actual card to share!!  It’s been so long since I sat down with stamps and ink and card I almost forgot how much I loved it!!  We have a new challenge launching today over at A Passion For Papertrey  and it’s a challenge I’m sure many of you will be able to join in with.  The theme is “Celebration” which has just about any occasion or event covered!  I’ve been waiting for the right time to try out one of my newest sets – Watercolour Wonder and played with one of my all time favourite combos of Pure Poppy and Hawaiian Shores. I’m not sure if I should’ve added the felt embellishments now – they were a bit of an afterthought!!
