Case Study – and it’s only Maile Belles !!!

Hi all – I’m joining in this week over at Case Study challenge blog where the current MUSE is {gasp} Maile Belles!!!!  I love Maile’s clean and graphic style so couldn’t wait to case her!  The card chosen for this week’s inspiration is this one…

And here is my take on it…

macarons (1)

I obviously flipped the layout onto it’s side – I wanted it to look like a box of macarons!  I have used my latest purchase the gorgeous “Bonjour” set from Avery Elle.  This set makes me think of my two lovely friends Kate Lewis and Aimes Wanford.  We went to Ladauree in Covent Garden on one of our girly weekends and had macarons and coffee and they were DEEEE-VINE!

It’s a long weekend here so I’m hoping I might get a bit more inky time squeezed in somewhere – you never know!

CASEing Laurie!

The card I’m sharing this evening is totally inspired by one of my favourite designers, Laurie Willison.  Her graphic style really speaks to me and her recent obsession (if I may call it that?!) with stripes has had my jaw dropping on more than one occasion.  You can find her original post HERE:

I love the negative space with the heart and of course the stripes??!!

So here is my take on it:

Thanks Laurie (if you’re reading this) – I love your work and your cheery disposition!  I am sharing this over at the CASE Study blog – Chupa’s looking for some new DT members so I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed here!  (makes it a tad difficult to type though!!).

It’s sunny – so here’s a sunshiney card!

Hellooooo!  Here to share a card I made for my lovely sister-in-law Nikki who has recently become the newest member of the “40” club!  She has always loved the colour yellow and sunflowers are one of her favourites (they always remind me of her) so I immediately grabbed the Blooming Marvellous set from Clearly Besotted when I sat down to make her a card.

The little “40” was cut using the modern numbers dies from PTI and the sentiment is from Big Birthday Wishes.

Well, better get back to work – groan!
