Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher

This week the challenge is

TIE IT UP

use ribbon, twine or anything you can think of to add a knot of a bow to your creation.

We are showcasing PAPER SMOOCHES PRODUCTS this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

This week I’ve used my favourite paper Smooches set of all time – Calorie Free.  I love the images in this set and particularly like the sushi one!  I was recently lucky enough to receive a GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers which were tied with a raffia bow.  I thought I could turn some of the raffia into a little sushi rolling mat so laid down some double sided tape and added strips  to it.  When I had enough down I trimmed down the side and added some black twine to finish it off.  For the sentiment (Japanese for Thank You I believe) I used Lawn Fawn’s Milo’s ABC’s.

Avery Elle – Happy Hour!

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today I’m sharing a card over on the Avery Elle blog featuring the Happy Hour stamp set and shaker dies!  I made a panel using the Wonky Stitches die and blended some Avery Elle pigment inks (Daisy, Fizz and Papaya) for my “tequila sunrise” background!  It’s hard to see but I used some distress glitter on the rim of the glass to look like sugar!

Simon Says … Kids Summer Vacation Challenge

Kid'sChallenge-01

Hi all and welcome to another of our annual Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation Kid’s Challenge where we host a special challenge dedicated to our young designers.

ANYTHING GOES

It is time for all you crafters to let your children loose in your crafty corners for a few hours. Just close your eyes and set them free to explore their creativity 🙂 You are allowed to hide your Copic Markers and extra special papers and you are allowed to help just a little bit if necessary, but we really want the children to ‘DO IT’ themselves as much as possible 🙂

This challenge is open to all children aged between 2 and 16 inclusive.

We have not 1, not 2 but  3 surprise parcels of crafty goodies, hand picked by Simon!

For this challenge we have a very special Junior Design Team who I am sure you will agree have done an excellent job.

We have had a VERY busy few weeks prparing for our upcoming travels (more to come on that) but my youngest two, Pippa (7) and Sophie (11) managed to squeeze in some crafty time to make a card for the challenge!  Pippa made a birthday card for her Daddy. He loves monkeys (well, let’s say he has a love/hate relationship with them) so she picked this cute little critter from the Simon says Stamp Baby Party Animals set.  She coloured it with Copics and even used my MISTI to stamp everything in just the right place!

Sophie had a good root through all my stamps and loved this one – I think she designed her on herself with the blonde hair and spotty pjs!!).  She also used the MISTI and coloured the images with Copics (yes, I was holding my breath the entire time!!).
