Get Cracking On Christmas – February 2022

Look at me go – for the second month in a row I am keeping to my pledge to create Christmas cards throughout the year! I don’t usually need an excuse to think about Christmas but this is a great way to feel a bit festive no matter what month we’re in!

Join us for the second GET CRACKING ON CHRISTMAS of 2022 where, on the THIRD THURSDAY of every month, @jennshurkus and a bunch of her festive-loving friends create a card for the the holidays. Keep Christmas in your hearts all year long, get ahead of yourself so there’s less to do come November and use your Christmas supplies all year long!

I’ve used the same gorgeous @the_greetery goodies that I used last month – they were still on my desk and I wasn’t quite done playing with them! I used Be Mine and Garden Party inks from Catherine Pooler and a paper from a My Mind’s Eye paper pad from my stash – it was perfect to create this little winter vignette.

Avery Elle Spring 2022 Release

Hurray! It’s Avery Elle New Release Day! The first awesome release of 2022 if here and it’s stuffed with gorgeous designs – something for everyone!

I’m sharing one of my favourites of the bunch – Carrot Car! How cute?!! I used a paper from the Spring Paper Collection as my base then die cut another design from the same collection using the grass edge from the Slimline Borders dies. I then stamped and fussy cut the images for a simple one layer card.

Supplies:

Carrot Car Clear Stamps

Spring Paper Pad

Slimline Border Elle-ments

Be sure to check out all the other creations from the design team. Happy release day everyone!

Let’s get to the hop.

Get Cracking On Christmas – December!

Ok, so I KNOW I started 2021 with good intentions but I haven’t been the best at keeping my promise to myself to create my holiday cards throughout the the year. 2022 will be different – I swear!

HOWEVER! December has been a good month and I have actually created a number of cards using some great Pinkfresh Studio products which make mass producing a breeze!

Using stencils as my main focal point I created about 20 different cards (with some slight variations) and added elements to give them some dimension and sparkle.

This first card uses the Thrill of Hope Stencil. I added some die cut vellum foliage using the Curvy Leaves die and added some glitter accents with the stencil and some texture paste. I created the sentiments using the Perfect Sentiments Holiday hot foil plate and die – LOVE this.

The second card uses the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Botanical Background stencils. I combined this with the sentiment from Phrase Builder Happy Holidays die set.

I hope you have all enjoyed creating this year and have managed to be more successful at your planning than I have!
