Hello there friends! Thanks for stopping by on your blog hop adventure for the brand new Simon Says Stamp “Friend Like You” Release.
I have no idea how the gang at Simon Says Stamp keep coming up with so many gorgeous new products but this one is another doozy!
I’ve made 3 cards with some of the goodies from this release but if I had had a bit more time (as you read this I will be enjoying the vibes at the Glastonbury Festival) I could have made a hundred more!
The first two cards were made using the Dot Spiral Embossing Folder, Artic Poppies Dies and CZ Designs Smile Stamp Set. The first one I embossed the dot Spiral pattern onto a white card panel cut using the A2 Rectangle Dies). I then lightly ran a Delicata Gold ink pad over the raised design to pick out the detail. I die cut the Arctic Poppies from white card and coloured them using Distress inks with blending brushes. The Smile sentiment was stamped using Versamark onto Vellum and then heat embossed in gold. I made a bouquet with the poppies and added a die cut bow from the Pretty Bows die set and added a final touch of sparkle with some Tidal Wave Sequin embellishments.
The second card uses almost the same products (minus the sequins) but with a totally different look. I blended Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink onto a card panel before embossing is with the Dot Spiral Embossing Folder. I embossed the sentiment in white and added them to the card using foam adhesive.
This card uses the Undersea Friends Stamp set and again, the Dot Spiral Embossing Folder (can you tell how much I loved this design?)!! I stamped the images to create my little underwater scene and coloured them with Copics. I die cut a panel of white card and cut a circle aperture beore running it throught the embossing folder. I added detail by running a Delicata Silver ink pad over the raised pattern and then adhered the panel over the stamped design. I finished it off with some Tidal Wave Embellishments.

Holy Moly! These are BRILLIANT and GORGEOUS! I love the Dot Spiral folder… I had seen that before but it seems to be part of this release. Confused about that but who cares? I can get it now!! I love the aquatic scene version and CZ’s “Smile” sentiment is a no-brainer. The Arctic Poppy is probably going to jump into my cart, too! GREAT WORK!
