This is a long post as I have so much to share! I made 5 cards in total all with amazing products in the Favorite Things Release. For TONS more inspiration head to the Favorite Things Gallery and prepare to be wowed! And don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a $25 gift card to spend over at Simon Says Stamp!
Kicking off with one of MY FAVOURITE THINGS – Christmas!! I know, it’s February but it’s never too early. The Petal Builder Dies and Stencil just screamed PEPPERMINT to me! I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Stencil and drew lines between the pink stripes with a red glitter gel pen. I die cut the “petals” from red and white card and assembled them to create a cute lollipop!

I used the Petal Builder Stencil for the next card and love how the same products can give such different looks! I pulled out a older Simon die (Circle Smile Die) for the centre of the flower and used the Tiny Words Birthday Stamp Set for my greeting.

My next two cards feature some stunning new products and I fell in love immediately with the new Bundled Swag embossing folder. It’s such a versatile folder and can be used either way up for stunning effects. I paired it with the new “One for the Books” stamp set using various inking techniques and finished off with some Crinkle Ribbon stained with Distress sprays and some of the gorgeous Pale Green Embellishment mix confetti.

My last card uses the new Hip Hip Hooray stamp set. I coloured the cute hippos with Copics and fussy cut them and arranged them around their little muddly puddle! The background is created using the Simon says Stamp Gingham Background stamp and I used the Wavy Scallop Stitches dies for my panel.

The next stop on the hop is the awesome

Gee, I loved every single card here. The two variations on the petals was nice to see. Using the red glitter gel pen in between the lines did bring it out more. Hello Caryn,
Five cards – what a treat!
Firstly, got to say that when I saw the Petal Builder stencil and dies, I did immediately think of a lollipop, so it’s nice to see that you did just that! I love the red and white lollipop of your first card and the lovely soothing greens of your second card.
Then you switched it up with the “One for the Books” stamp set which is my second favourite stamp set of this new release. Again, I love the pastel colours you used to create those two cards and pairing them with that background embossing folder is the bomb! While your fifth card was my least favourite (no offence intended) I love the copic colouring done on those cute rhinos because I cannot colour well at all. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful creations with us and wishing you a great weekend.
I cannot seem to find the place to reply at Caryn Davies site. I wanted to tell her i love love love her cards. ty
