Simon Says … Something New

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Use Dies Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too

This week the challenge is

SOMETHING NEW

We are showcasing Whimsy Stamps Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I am still not ready to let go of the festive feeling so decided to go with a frosty wintery card. I was inspired by the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Sweater Embossing Folder. (a new craft item I recently purchased so I’m using that as my challenge qualifier !!) It gives that cozy, knitted effect which I thought was perfect for the frosty feel to the rest of the card.

I blended some blue ink over the embossed white card panel and adhered it to the front of the card. I then took the Tim Holtz Vault Winter Wishes die set and cut snowflakes from vellum and white card (which I also ran through the embossing folder).

I adhered them to the card base and added some Ideaology Christmas droplets to the centres.

I then stamped and coloured the small snowman from Mr Frostie using Distress Watercolour Pencils and popped him onto the card front with foam tape. I added distress Rock Candy glitter and finished with a sentiment using the Tim Holtz Holiday Words Scripted.
