Avery Elle Summer 2020 Release Blog Hop

Well, hello there! I know I’ve been MIA from my blog for months – it’s been a very weird time for everyone. I hope you’ve all stayed safe and managed to keep yourselves healthy and happy. I’ve immersed myself in my garden, decorating, upcycling, baking, etc. My crafty mojo went missing along the road too but I’m BACK with renewed enthusiasm and vigour! How could I not be with such an AMAZING new release to work with?!!

I have two new floral designs in this release –Tropical Bouquet and Poppies. I love floral stamps and the never ending colour options they allow. Today I’m featuring the Tropical Bouquet set and have two cards to share:

Avery Elle Tropical Bouquet Clear Stamps

I blended some Lemongrass Pigment ink onto my card base and then I used a make up sponge technique to add colour to the centres of the flowers and to the edges of the leaves. After die cutting my elements I assembled them into a cluster and stamped the sentiment.

I have another card to share today this time pairing the Tropical Bouquet set with a cool stamp from the Peek-a-Boo Coaster set. To me, the track from the Coaster set looks a bit like a trellis so I stamped it in green along the left edge of my card base. I then added the flowers and leaves as though they are climbing up the trellis and finished off with a sentiment.

Supplies used:

Tropical Bouquet Clear Stamps

Tropical Bouquet Elle-ments

Peek-a-Boo Coaster Clear Stamps

Lemongrass Pigment Ink

I hope these cards have added some sunshine and happiness to your day wherever you are? Your next stop on the blog hop is with my buddy Heather Campbell – have fun!!!

ALOHA! Such love in your cards and they remind me of all the plumeria and hibiscus that I used to see daily in HI. We were lucky enough to live there for three years and these cards are just lovely! I really like that font that is with the flowers! So cute and a great compliment! Cheers to your ALOHA cards!
