Hi all, I have had one of those nights where I have sat and struggled to put something together that I’m happy with. I was attempting to make a card for the Cupcake Card Challenge and DT call this week but for some reason I am having a mare! I think there are a couple of reasons:
1. I’m not a “yellow” kind of a gal and the inspiration for the challenge is a photograph of some very pretty yellow flowers. Funnily enough, my favourite flowers of all are yellow roses – go figure (as they say in the States).
2. I’m tired!!
3. I have a cold!! Boo hoo.
The challenge at the Pink Elephant is “Ribbons and Die Cuts” so as I’ve used my Sizzix heart die and wrapped it in ribbons, it does qualify for that challenge too!
Anyway, I made this card but there is something about it that is niggling me. I’m not sure I’m entering this card at CCC and may try again tommorrow and see if me juices get going any better than today!! Any helpful advice on what is wrong with it would be welcomed.

Hey Caryn we all have days like this, but I think you have to remember we are all very critical of our own designs. I love the ribbon technique you’ve used on the heart, if I were you I will still enter it.

Having a cold can destroy anyone’s creative talent and the pressure of the DT call too. I think you’ve done a great job but I know what you mean too.

I also sat down to work on the CCC challenge and just was not “feeling” it so I moved on to something else and will try again tomorrow. I am not a yellow gal either so I think that was my problem.
