Simon Says Stamp

A bit of flower arranging!

Hey everyone. Here with a card I have had in my head ever since Steph showed us the Love Birds stamps and dies released this month from Clearly Besotted. I bought the Fresh Cut Florals from Wplus9 a few months ago but with Christmas and all that jazz – this is the first chance I’ve had to ink them up! I die cut and stamped a load of flowers and leaves the other day and last night decided to get busy with a bit of flower arranging! I adore the little birdcage from CBS so I die cut it in white and then made a “bed” of blooms for it to nestle into. I am also slightly obsessed with the Falling Hearts die from Simon Says Stamp so used it again as a back drop created with embossing paste – you can’t see the dimension in the photo but it looks quite effective IRL!

Once again, I am able to enter the Wednesday Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp blog as this time they are asking us to “Emboss It”.

Clearly Besotted Challenge – LOVE

Hello, here with details of this month’s challenge over at Clearly Besotted Stamps. If you’re new to CBS then where have you been??? LOL! Steph and Jenny are an amazing team who produce top quality stamps and dies, on trend designs and customer service that literally cannot be beaten. I’m so lucky to be one of the design team members and every month starting at 10am on the 10th Steph hosts a challenge. The only rule is you must use at least one CBS product to qualify for the prize. The theme for the month of January is “LOVE” and with all the gorgeous stamps available at CBS I’m sure you will all come up with something beautiful! So onto my card. I have used the newly released Key To My Heart stamp set and dies and the Love Hearts stamps and dies. I made a stencil using the Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts die (one of my favourite products ever) and mixed some translucent embossing paste (tinted with food colouring gel of all things!!) to give me a soft pink shade to match in with the inks (Mama Elephant).
