Avery Elle … Tropics

Hello Monday!  It’s my turn over on the Avery Elle Blog today and I’m sharing a nifty one layer card using the amazing Tropics stamp set.  I combined three gorgeous Avery Elle pigment inks (Celery, Jungle and Lemon Grass) and off-set the outline image over the top using Truffle ink.  The sentiment is from the Floral Bouquet set which I made sure to stamp first so I could arrange the various tropical leaves around it.  An easy to recreate and mass-produce design which would be ideal for a masculine birthday!

I love this sassy lady from the Art Impressions set, The Queen.  And that sentiment just about sums her up doesn’t it!  Maybe I should leave this one lying around for my husband to find – just as a subtle hint, you know?!  I die cut the spotty paper (from MFT’s Neutral Dots and Stripes pad) using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles dies and for the frame I used the Rectangle Peek A Boo die.  I stamped the lady in Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink then coloured her with Copics.

Avery Elle … Aloha and Modern Alpha

Hey there!  It’s Monday so I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog today with a couple of cards using some fun Summer release designs to get you in the mood for the impending holiday season!  On both cards today I used different elements from various sets just highlighting how well they all work together!!  Both cards use the same bright, tropical colour palette and similar combination of images but both look completely different in the end result.  The images are coloured with Copics with touches of Glossy Accents and Nuvo Drops for extra dimension.

Don’t know about you but I could really go a nice cocktail right now (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?)
