Avery Elle … Hummingbird

Hey there, I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog with a couple of cards I created using the beautiful Hummingbird stamp set and Elle-ments from the Summer 2018 release.  This set features a gorgeous Hummingbird image along with a fuchsia design but it could be mixed and matched with so many other floral sets from Avery Elle.

Both cards started with a frame cut from purple cardstock using the largest of the Reverse Pinked Elle-ments and feature some of the images from the set coloured with Copics.

On the first card I created a gold foiled background using the Painted Backdrops stamp set.  I took the striped image and stamped it using Versamark ink onto the card then heat embossed it with sticky embossing powder from Wow.  Once this was “melted” I added gold foil over the top and ran it through a Minc machine.  The effect is so pretty.  I simply added the sentiment from the Magnolia set in black ink and popped the flower and bird images onto the front using foam tape.

My second card features the larger of the flower images coloured with Copics and adhered onto the card front with foam tape.

I stamped the “Have A Wonderful Day” sentiment in black ink and finished off with some adhesive gems.

Avery Elle Blog Hop Summer 2018 Release

Hey there!  It’s Avery Elle Summer Release Day!  Woohoo!  You should have arrived here from the Avery Elle Blog but if you’re lost, you can find a full list down below!

I’m delighted to be sharing a card using one of the sets I designed in this release, Fuchsia and co-ordinating elle-ments.  Fuchsias are  one of my favourite flowers of all time, they remind me of little ballet dancers!!  I used one of the pieces of water coloured yupo paper I created in THIS video from a few weeks ago.  I dropped Avery Elle liquid water colours in Cherry, Fizz and Mimosa onto the paper and it gave me a gorgeous peachy coloured effect.  I added this as a background to a die cut I created using another of our fabulous new dies from this release, Focal Point Stripes.  I then stamped the Fuchsia images onto white watercolour card using Versamark and heat embossed it in Avery Elle Rose Gold Embossing Powder (swoon).  I then coloured it with the same Cherry, Fizz and Mimosa liquid watercolours and Celery for the leaves.

I stamped one of the gorgeous sentiments onto a 41/2 x 5 1/4 card and heat embossed it with the Rose Gold powder.  To finish I picked out some peach coloured sequins to finish it off with some sparkle.

Supplies:

Avery Elle … Hand Drawn Florals

Hey, I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog sharing a card using the very pretty and versatile Hand Drawn Florals stamp set.  I love the whimsical feel of the flowers and they are so fun to colour.  Today I’ve used the Sapphire and Mint to Be liquid watercolours mixed with some subtle shimmer and a few Nuvo drops here and there for added bling.

I started with a stone coloured card base and added a white die cut using Horizontal Stripes (my favourite!).  I stamped the flowers using Versamark ink onto the textured side (just for a change) of some Tim Holtz watercolour cardstock and heat embossed them with Avery Elle Silver embossing powder I painted them with the watercolours and then decided to fussy cut them instead of die cut them with the dies.

I then simply arranged the flowers how I wanted them to the card front and finished with a sentiment from the Floral Bouquet set and a few clear sequins.
