This Marie Antoinette award has been passed on to me from the wonderful Donna at Popsicle Toes. She is the most amazingly talented lady who I discovered on my visits over to the Cricut forum. Her work is just beautiful so if you haven’t seen it – GO NOW! Thank you so much Donna.
Donna Mundinger – Thank you so much!
My first go at "paperpiecing".

The challenge this week over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is to design a card and use paper piecing on it. I have never tried it before so thought I’d have a go. I’m not sure this actually qualifies as I’ve used a digi stamp (the gorgeous unicorn again from the Greeting Farm) but if not, never mind! I printed it out on white card for the base and used my marvy pens to colour in the mane and tail. I then printed it out again on some pretty MAMBI paper and cut out the body. She has lots of glitter on her hooves and horn for extra magicalness! I think she’s gorgeous – I wish I had a unicorn just like her.
Actually, that reminds me of a funny story. As I said before, my daughter Olivia LOVES unicorns. Well a couple of years ago, the thing she wanted more than anything from santa was a real-live unicorn for a pet. My friend Helen was telling her MIL about how I had this problem of explaining to Olivia on christmas morning why santa hadn’t given her a live unicorn as her present – I didn’t want her to doubt her belief in santa OR unicorns. Anyway, as Helen was laughing about my dilemma, her MIL had a worried look on her face. “Oh dear” she said, “where will she keep it?” !!! I think something got lost in translation!! I still laugh about that.
Anyhoo, better get off to bed otherwise I’ll be doing one of my usual 2am sessions. This blogging is not good for my health!
Blog Award – Thank you so much Jude!
OMG – I have received a lovely award from Jude at Crafts International. This is the first time anyone has given me an award and I feel so honoured and flattered. Jude, you’re a darling and THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I am so proud.
To receive this award I have to name 5 things I’m addicted to. That’s easy:
1. My 5 beautiful children who are my reason for living.
2. My wonderful crafting hobby – keeps me sane (see 1)
3. Glitter
4. Jewels.
5. Thorntons vanilla fudge!
I also have to pass this award on to 5 other deserving people. These 5 gorgeous girls have given me so much inspiration and I visit their blogs everyday. I wish I could give it to a hundred people.
Sarah (Sparkle Cards)
Debbie (Passion for Crafts)
Donna (Popsicle Toes)
Enfys (Going Buggy)
Tracie (Pink Angel)
Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog since I started at the end of August last year. I have loved every minute of it so far.
