Simon Says Stamp – The Colour of Fun

colorfun

I’m so excited by the brand new release from Simon Says Stamp called The Colour of Fun.  How can you be totally inspired by that colour palette – it’s just so scrummy!  I can’t wait to collect all of those new inks but in the meantime I have been having a wee play with some of the other new products in this release.  My first card features an AMAZING die – I just LOVE it.  I die cut the circle sentiment and cupcake from white card and popped out the frosting part of the cake and scribbled some RV81 (Rose pink) Copic marker over it (just roughly, I didn’t want it to be too smooth.  I coated it in Glossy Accents and then sprinkled some distress glitter on the top.  I used a panel of patterned paper from the Sorbet collection from Avery Elle and mounted it all onto an Avery Elle notecard.

My next card is a clean and simple one layer card using the Many Thanks stamp set and the Big Scripty Greetings set.  There is a design for everyone in this release – I have so much on my wish list!!

Believe it or not this is the first time I’ve played with this gorgeous Mama Elephant set since buying it several weeks ago!  I know – shocking!  I just wish there were more hours in the day!  At least I’ve managed to ink it up now!  I used some woodgrain cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and added some stitched detail using one of the AHHH-MAZING new dies from the latest Avery Elle release!  I coloured the little critters from the Three Amigo’s set and attempted to add texture using Nichol Magouirk‘s (and several others) dot technique – I love how it worked – particularly on the raccoon!

Me friends

I used a little Avery Elle Linen ink under the critters to ground them and stamped the little greetings onto their flash cards (adorable)!

So now it’s YOUR turn, Happy Crafting

Simon Says Stamp June 2015 Card Kit – I’ve played at last!!

June-2015-Card-Kit-600

My goodness, where are these weeks going??!  I’ve had this amazing kit sitting on my desk for days but have only just managed to have a play with it!  I LOVE it so much – it’s one of my favourites so far (although I think I say that every month, lol).  I die cut one of the new MFT circle dies and whilst the die was still in place used a series of masking steps to get the stripes.  I used the Ranger dye inks (which I LOVE) and they blended beautifully!

Well thanks for popping by – hope I get to play a wee bit more with this kit this week so watch this space!!
