Simon Says Stamp – Better Together Release

better together

Hello – just popping in with a card I created using the gorgeous Locking Hearts stamp set from Simon Says Stamp from their brand new Better Together release.  I used Bundle of Stitched Shapes again on this card – I think it’s my most used set of dies of ALL time!!

Better TogetherI cut the banner from acetate and then used gold flakes on the back of it to give a fabulous gold shimmer – I LOVE this product!  I used Simon Says Stamp Red Lipstick ink (such a deep red – it’s gorgeous) to stamp the larger of the interlocking hearts and the smaller one in Versamark which I embossed in Gold Tinsel EP from Ranger.  I did actually attempt a video for this card but my camera died halfway through and it was all a bit of a disaster!  Maybe I’ll try again on my next card!

Ok , time to get the kiddos to bed and open a teeny bottle of wine – well, it is nearly Christmas!

Lucy Abrahams

but if you want to go back to the start then just head over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

DieCember is HERE folks – and what an amazing line-up of products there are – literally something for everyone.  You can see all the new dies right HERE and can even save time by adding the Kit and Kaboodle bundle and just get everything in one click!!!

Diecember blog hop 2

I have been playing with the “must-have” set of the YEAR – the Large Tags  dies.  If you need to add one set to your collection the I think it must be this one.  The tags are generous in size to stand alone as a gift tag or be used to add a perfect focal point to add to a card.  They also compliment the Medium Tag Dies perfectly!

Diecember blog hop

I started with an A2 standard card base and cut a white panel for the front which I trimmed with some of the Peppermint stripe paper from the 2014 Holiday Card Kit.  On the panel I used a “new-to-me” product that hopped into my latest shopping cart at Simon Says Stamp – these gold leaf sheets and adhesive pen.  I used the Falling Snow stencil as a rough guide for my adhesive “spots” and then once the adhesive had set I added the gold leaf.  It gives an effect like no other gold medium (that I know of) – even embossing powder doesn’t shine quite like this stuff – it may become my latest addiction!  I die cut one of the tags from the Large Tags die set and spritzed it with Heidi Swapp Gold Lame shine spray.  I die-cut the Merry Christmas (from Simon Says Stamp) from gold card and added a red heart cut using the Stitched Shapes die collection.  To finish I added a bow from gold thread.

Simon Says Stamp is offering a fantastic prize for every stop on the hop – just make sure you leave a comment here (and at every blog) to be in with multiple chances of winning!!  The lucky winners will be drawn on 4th December and announced on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

So now I’ve blethered on for what must feel like a lifetime, keep on hopping to the next blog, my lovely friend and amazing designer, Wanda Guess.

More Sparkle and Shine.

I am still absolutely LOVING the December 14 card kit from Simon Says Stamp.  The colours just make me happy – even thinking of redesigning my blog to match!!!

I once again used the big stitched circle stamp and the gorgeous Sparkle and Shine sentiment all embossed in Liquid Platinum embossing powder by Ranger – included in the kit.  I added the little coil of silver thread behind the vellum circle and held it all in place with foam pads hidden behind the die cut heart and star.

Dec CK 14 2I made this card for my twin sister who may, for once actually get her birthday card BEFORE our birthday.  I know she doesn’t read my blog (although she’ll probably go and make a liar out of me now) so hopefully it won’t be spoiled!
