Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is
We are showcasing Newton’s Nook Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
My card this week is inspired by the latest addition to the Davies household – our Ragdoll kitten, Loki! He’s a wee scamp, just like Newton! I coloured the image with Copics and fussy cut it out. To set the scene I used the frame die from the new MFT Time for Bubbly set to create an aperture and used Distress Inks to blend a sky backdrop. I added a little picket fence and some greenery for a bit more dimension.

And before I go, here’s a wee photo of my little Loki 🙂

The lovely Jenn Shurkus made this lovely mood board for us to follow, you can use the colors, pictures, whatever you like to create your project. If it’s not obvious please let us know what element you used in your write up.

Isn’t that collage just so inspiring?! I can totally see why Jenn picked these photos – just so dreamy! For me the thing that jumped out most was the driftwood images. I pulled out my MFT Wood Plank background stamp and stamped it in Surf Blue (how appropriate) and then over the top with with Memento Desert Sand. I love the aged effect you get with this double stamping technique. I used the same two colours to stipple the “sunshine” die cut before inlaying back into the frame die cut. Ahh, summer – how I long for you to come (yes, I know it’s July but in England that means nothing, lol!!)
