Simon Says Stamp – Better Together Release

Hello – just popping in with a card I created using the gorgeous Locking Hearts stamp set from Simon Says Stamp from their brand new Better Together release. I used Bundle of Stitched Shapes again on this card – I think it’s my most used set of dies of ALL time!!

Better Together I cut the banner from acetate and then used gold flakes on the back of it to give a fabulous gold shimmer – I LOVE this product! I used Simon Says Stamp Red Lipstick ink (such a deep red – it’s gorgeous) to stamp the larger of the interlocking hearts and the smaller one in Versamark which I embossed in Gold Tinsel EP from Ranger. I did actually attempt a video for this card but my camera died halfway through and it was all a bit of a disaster! Maybe I’ll try again on my next card!

Ok , time to get the kiddos to bed and open a teeny bottle of wine – well, it is nearly Christmas!

Caravan love!

Hi all, popping in with a card created with one of my new favourite stamp sets – Home Sweet Home by Avery Elle. We are a keen caravanning family so when I saw this set it went on my wish list immediately! I had our trips to the Glastonbury festival and Camp Bestival in my head when I was creating this card – hence the bunting and funky caravan colours, lol!!

There’s a new release at Avery Elle this week and a few of the new sets have caught my eye! However, as I’ve imposed a budget on myself for a while (went a bit mad in January!!) they will have to go on my wishlist for now!

Clearly Besotted Challenge – LOVE

Hello, here with details of this month’s challenge over at Clearly Besotted Stamps. If you’re new to CBS then where have you been??? LOL! Steph and Jenny are an amazing team who produce top quality stamps and dies, on trend designs and customer service that literally cannot be beaten. I’m so lucky to be one of the design team members and every month starting at 10am on the 10th Steph hosts a challenge. The only rule is you must use at least one CBS product to qualify for the prize. The theme for the month of January is “LOVE” and with all the gorgeous stamps available at CBS I’m sure you will all come up with something beautiful! Check out all the DT inspiration and full details on Steph’s blog.

So onto my card. I have used the newly released Key To My Heart stamp set and dies and the Love Hearts stamps and dies. I made a stencil using the Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts die (one of my favourite products ever) and mixed some translucent embossing paste (tinted with food colouring gel of all things!!) to give me a soft pink shade to match in with the inks (Mama Elephant).
