Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Use Plaid

This week we are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products. You don’t have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

It’s feeling very Summery in my neck of the woods at the moment so today’s card seems quite fitting in all it’s bright and shiny colourful glory!  I’m loving the Summer Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and the rainbow of colours in this Lawn fawn paper pad was all the inspiration I needed!!  I covered the card front with the paper and then stamped the sunflower onto Bristol cardstock.  I used Zig Clean Colour markers which blend amazingly well on this card!  The sentiment and heart motif in the centre are from the Circle Sayings stamp set from SSS.

Spring Colour Inspiration

This week Jenn Shurkus has provided us with a gorgeous Spring-like inspirational mood board with a fabulous colour palette to get our creative juices flowing!  Look at Mr Harley too – very handsome!  I actually just used the colour palette rather than the images as I was dying to use my newest Lawn Fawn purchase, The Year Seven stamp set – love that pinata!  I squished some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink onto a sheet and then spritzed it with some shimmer spray – I then placed my card front face down onto the ink and dabbed it around to give me the inky background – and it’s shimmery too!

When I saw the challenge this week was Winter Birthday I immediately thought of the Stitched Trees dies from Lawn Fawn.  The are so versatile and can be used for all kinds of cards all year long!  I LOVE them!  I paired the trees with a few snowflakes (Simon Says Stamp die) and a few sequins from the January card kit.  The backdrop is from the gorgeous Winter Perfectly Plaid paper pad.
