Santa Claus is Coming To Town

Greetings!  Today I’m sharing a card featuring a fabulous Avery Elle set called Joy To The World.  The set features some gorgeous images designed to create a festive globe.  However, the round motifs can be used alone too as I have done here with my card.

The circle image is stamped and heat embossed in white and then I’ve painted some dark cobalt blue water colour over the image in a freestyle way to represent a night sky.  The white image then pops and looks like a full moon (that’s how I see it anyway, lol)!!.

Avery Elle – Seasonal Sentiments

Hello there – today I have a first!  I’ve made a Thanksgiving card!  Obviously Thanksgiving is an American and Canadian tradition so we have little call for these cards over here but I was so drawn to this image in the Seasonal Sentiments set from Avery Elle.  I kept the card simple by embossing it in Gold Tinsel (Ranger) embossing powder on a white panel cut using Finished Frames.  I added a a little bit of gold shimmery twine and mounted it to a small 4 bar size card.  Love this cute little size for a change from A2.Season's Greetings 1

Avery Elle – We R Family

Hello and happy Monday!!  I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog today sharing a card I made using the fantastic set designed by JJ Bolton called We R Family.  I was drawn to the sketchy circle designs in the set and remembered an old print I used to have from IKEA – can’t find an image of it now though!  Anyway – that’s what inspired my card today!

WeR FamilyI stamped and rotated the image in Versamark and then embossed them in white.  I watercoloured inside the circles for a rainbow of colour!!
