Caravan love!

Hi all, popping in with a card created with one of my new favourite stamp sets – Home Sweet Home by Avery Elle.  We are a keen caravanning family so when I saw this set it went on my wish list immediately!  I had our trips to the Glastonbury festival and Camp Bestival in my head when I was creating this card – hence the bunting and funky caravan colours, lol!!

There’s a new release at Avery Elle this week and a few of the new sets have caught my eye!  However, as I’ve imposed a budget on myself for a while (went a bit mad in January!!) they will have to go on my wishlist for now!

Have a great weekend.

Sugar rush!

If you haven’t got a sweet tooth then look away now, lol!  I’ve got a pink and girly card to share today inspired by the colours over at the new challenge blog, The Card Concept.  I think my card definitely falls into the Clean and Layered category – lots of crisp white space and clean lines but with layered images and a few embellishments.  I love the idea of this challenge – it really makes you look at your style and how it might be interpreted.

Sweet Birthday macaronsThe first challenge has a colour combination and/or photo inspiration – I wasn’t so much guided by the photo but more by the colours – I LOVE pink and brown together, must use it more often!!

Have a lovely Sunday where ever you are.

Case Study – and it’s only Maile Belles !!!

Hi all – I’m joining in this week over at Case Study challenge blog where the current MUSE is {gasp} Maile Belles!!!!  I love Maile’s clean and graphic style so couldn’t wait to case her!  The card chosen for this week’s inspiration is this one…

And here is my take on it…

macarons (1)

I obviously flipped the layout onto it’s side – I wanted it to look like a box of macarons!  I have used my latest purchase the gorgeous “Bonjour” set from Avery Elle.  This set makes me think of my two lovely friends Kate Lewis and Aimes Wanford.  We went to Ladauree in Covent Garden on one of our girly weekends and had macarons and coffee and they were DEEEE-VINE!

It’s a long weekend here so I’m hoping I might get a bit more inky time squeezed in somewhere – you never know!
