Avery Elle: Peonies

Hey there – I’m up on the Avery Elle blog today sharing a card using the gorgeous Peonies stamp set (designed by the equally gorgeous Heather Campbell).  I did a fair bit of masking on this card to create my bunch of peonies in the corner of my water colour card panel.  I embossed each image one at a time with white embossing powder then used Kuretake Gansai paints to colour the flowers.  The sentiment is from the Cake and Candles set and I did a bit of snipping so that I could break it up instead of having it on one line.

Avery Elle: Bring On The Cake

Hey there – hope you had a great weekend?!  We had a houseful for our 20th anniversary party – a wild west hoedown!  It was great fun and fabulous to be surrounded by some amazing friends!

My card today features the gorgeous Bring on the Cake stamp set from Avery Elle.  I love the images in this set – they’re a bit different from the more usual style (I love the bundt cake in there – cute!!).

I coloured the cake with Copics and created a frame using the pierced circles dies – love these!

Avery Elle: Swim Team

Helloooo!  Happy Monday!  Today I’m featuring a card over on the Avery Elle blog blog using the fabby Swim Team stamp set designed by JJ Bolton.  I love all things aquatic so this set is right up my alley.  I started with a white panel and die cut it using the large wonky stitches die.  I then used the wavy edge die from Custom Panels to cut a piece of masking paper which I placed on the panel and then sponged over with distress inks lightly to create a sea bed.  To add a bit of texture I used the Tim Holtz spritzer with some Copics to create a bit of a stoney effect. Using the other piece of masking paper I then masked the sea bed off and repeated the ink blending in shades of blue for the sea.  I used the same masking technique using the wave edge die from the Swim Team die collection also.

Once my base was created I then stamped various elements from the set to create my little underwater scene – popping the shark, starfish and Nemo up on foam tape for some dimension.
