AVERY ELLE… FROSTY FRIENDS (WITH VIDEO)

Hey there Avery Elle Fans, I’m here with a card using the Frosty Friends stamp set (designed by me!).

My usual take on a snowy themed card would be to reach for the pale blues and aqua shades to give a classic icy feel to the image.  This time however, given the vintage style of the set I thought I’d try to recreate a more old-fashioned look, like an old sepia photo.

I’ve also made a little video showing how this card card came together using a partial die-cutting technique which is lots of fun!

Avery Elle … Winder Woodland Wonders

Hi, it’s Caryn here kicking off a week of Winter Woodland Wonders inspiration!  This set is packed full of cute festive critters and makes scene-building a breeze!

I started with a cream card base and cut a panel using the larges of the Double Pierced Rectangles Elle-ments.  I blended my background using Distress Oxide inks and then splattered a little shimmer spray on it for some subtle texture.

I stamped the robin, polar bear and trees in New Moon Dye Ink and coloured with Copics and added a few details here and there with Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard.  Finally I stamped the sentiment in black and popped my die cut pieces onto the card using foam tape.

Avery Elle … Holiday Bouquet

Hello Avery Elle fans!  This week on the blog we’re sharing our creations featuring a stamp set designed by lil ‘ol me – Holiday Bouquet.  Who doesn’t love a festive, floral stamp set?  This set isn’t JUST for those who celebrate Christmas either.  Poinsettia became a tradition originally in Mexico when a young boy couldn’t afford to buy a gift so gathered wild plants from the road side.  It is also the birth flower for the month of December (which happens to be when my birthday is, yay!).

Anyhoo, on to my card.  I started with a white card base and die cut the Horizontal Stripes Elle-Ments from white and adhered it to the base.  I stamped some of the images from the set in Versamark onto Bristol smooth white card then heat embossed them in white.  To colour the images I used Zig Clean Colour markers and water to give a pretty water-coloured effect.  Finally once all the elements were adhered where I wanted them I stamped the sentiment in Fog dye ink in the centre.
