Avery Elle Winter 2021 Release Blog Hop

Hey there! Today is the day! It’s time for the brand new Winter 2021 release from Avery Elle. We have lots of wonderful new designs available in this release but today I’m sharing the gorgeous Cherry On Top stamp set and dies!

I love cherries as a design element – they make me think of the 50’s and cherry soda’s and milkshakes! I often pair the red of cherries with a pale blue or aqua and so this is the theme I chose for this card too!

I stamped the cherry onto Canson watercolour paper with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink. Then I used Karin Brushmarkers to watercolour the image. To make the cherry glisten I covered them with liquid adhesive and sprinkled them with Ranger Rock Candy glitter. I love this stuff!!

For the background I pulled out the Invitation Frame Elle-ments and die cut it from whiite cardstock and again from some patterned paper from the Holiday Paper Collection.

To finish off I stamped the sentiment in grey ink and added a few sparkly gems just to up the glitz factor!!

There are lots of fabulous ideas to be had if you hop along with the rest design team! The next stop on the hop is Heather Campbell but for the full list please see below!

Avery Elle … Merry

Hello peeps!  It’s Caryn with a festive Christmas card created with some fun products from the latest release.  The Merry die I’ve used on this card is one of my favourites of the whole release – I adore it!

I started by stamping a single layer branch from the Layered Pine stamp set on the background of the card.  I wanted the branches to radiate out from behind the green oval die cut (the positive piece left over from using the Quilted Frame Elle-ments on a card I shared a wee while ago!).  I added some tiny stars, another left over from cutting the Star Scene die for a previous card!
I cut some snow hills using the Slimline Borders elle-ments and adhered them in layers over the oval die cut.

I stamped the truck and trees from the Layered Holiday Truck set and arranged them in front of the oval and die cut the Merry in a blue cardstock to match the truck. As a final flourish I stamped and coloured the bow from the Prosecco-Ho-Ho stamp set and added it below the sentiment.  By the way, the “Tis The Season To Be” is a selectively stamped sentiment from the Prosecco stamp set!  I just covered the “Merry” on the end with washi tape before inking up the stamp, then removed it to stamp.

Ellen Hutson October 2021 Release

I’m back sharing another card using the fabulous October 2021 Release from Ellen Hutson LLC. The font in this sentiment set – Sending Holiday Cheer is one of my favourites of all time. It’s retro and funky and I love it!

I kept the card simple as the sentiment is really the star of the show. I started by splattering some Gold Shimmer texture spray by dropping a few spots onto the card base and setting it aside to dry. Meanwhile I die cut a stitched circle and stamped the sentiment onto it using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed it with Gold Tinsel embossing powder by Ranger – it’s one of my favourites! I also stamped and embossed the pine cone image from another new set in this release – Sweet Surprises. I added a little colour using a Zig Clean Colour brush marker in peach.

I adhered the circle slightly off centre onto a white A2 card base then added the pine cone images and finished off with a gold bow and a sequin!

Don’t forget, if you get your order in you may qualify for a free gift with your purchase, whilst stock lasts!
